ResumoPropõe melhorias na contratação de estagiários nas empresas de pesquisa com o fim de evitar o aumento na taxa de rotatividade. Estudou-se a relação do analfabetismo funcional com as taxas de rotatividade de estagiários. Foram demonstradas considerações importantes que podem dar excelentes resultados tanto na contenção da taxa de rotatividade em empresas de pesquisa quanto na qualidade de formação de estágio, principalmente no que tange ao Programa de Treinamento Continuado. Propõe-se aqui um questionário para que no Processo Seletivo de estagiários criem-se melhores condições de conhecer os candidatos a estágio para efeito de uma proposta de treinamento contínuo e levantamento de competências dos candidatos a estágio. Verificou-se que poderiam ser implementadas a compatibilização do perfil do estagiário com o perfil da empresa.Palavras chave: Gestão de pessoas. Competênciainformacional.Estagiário. INTRODUÇÃOA gestão de pessoas por competências pode ser um enfoque adequado que as empresas podem utilizar para moldar um plano de desenvolvimento e capacitação para alguma carreira e, com isso, incentivar os estagiários a continuar no estágio, adaptandose ao trabalho e aprendendo um ofício enquanto estudam.A crescente rotatividade de estagiários em qualquer tipo de instituições pode ser provocada tanto por questões éticas de trabalho, quanto por questões estruturais da instituição. Dessa forma, pode-se existir mecanismos para estimular a continuidade do estagiário na empresa até o fim de seu período de estágio, seja ele obrigatório ou não obrigatório. O estágio deve ser visto pelo estagiário como um dos caminhos mais adequados para a vida profissional.
