The development of e-learning is a form of quality improvement undertaken to achieve effective learning.
The Covid-19 pandemic has affected on Vocal Class in Method lecture in the Music Study Program, Sendratasik (Drama, Dance, and Music) Department, Faculty Language and Arts (FBS), Universitas Negeri Surabaya (UNESA). Changing the lectures system from face to face meetings to an online system raises its own problems. Therefore, the aims of this research are to describe the lecture process, learning outcomes, and students responses to the implementation of Vocal Class in Method Lecture. The data collection techniques were carried out by observation, documentation, and a questionnaire. The Method Lecture in the Vocal Class during the Covid-19 pandemic was carried out by combining synchronous and asynchronous approaches. The synchronous approach relies on the WhatsApp chat application and Zoom video conference. Meanwhile, the asynchronous approach via e-mail and the Google Classroom platform. The results achieved from this lecture did not meet expectations, because basically the lecture was not designed for an online system. The assessment was carried out by observing the results of the assignment in the form of a video recording of training and performance. Furthermore, the external constraints in the implementation of lectures indicated that the number of complaints about the unpreparedness of the lecture hardware media, the quality of various internet networks, and the burden of internet quota fees. Meanwhile, internal constraints included students' psychological unpreparedness and student discipline.
Sendratasik Department, Language and Art Faculty, Universitas Negeri Surabaya, to carry out the Tri Dharma of University and efforts to grow with the character, it will carry out various activities that are manifested in the form of "Music Scoring Training in the Pare String Ensemble Music Community in Kediri". This training aims to introduce and implement digital literacy in the field of Music, namely about music scoring using the Sibelius software. This Sibelius software is later expected to be the main provision for each member of the Pare String Ensemble to develop the expected repertoire, increase professionalism in work (especially in operating the Music Learning Management System), and can become a superior selling power in the local, regional, even nationally. The activity of training the operation of the Sibelius software to the Pare String Ensemble community in Kediri, East Java, clearly showed significant results, where the soft skills of members in optimizing music technology devices were facilitated, which directly increased their productivity in carrying out musical activities, starting from arranging songs, to creating new musical works. With the increase in the skills of these members, it is also an investment for the Pare String Ensemble community institutionally, where the community has competitive offers or high selling power to music services users. In the end, the goal of the Pare String Ensemble community, Kediri -East Java to develop the existence and performance of their community, was achieved.
