Whether a worker is an employee of a business or an independent contractor with that business is an issue that can have many significant problems. Generally, an employee is someone who works for an employer. An employee is controlled by the employer and has little discretion in the timing and performance of his tasks. According to Wilson, on the other hand, “independent contractors contract to do work and have the ability to perform the work without being subject to the control of the employer as long as they meet the expected results required by the contract (Wilson, 1999).” In short, independent contractors are independent business people who are hired to perform specific tasks. They are just like any other vendor, except they perform services rather than provide tangible goods and basically are in the business for themselves. Thus, they are not the hiring firm’s employees. They are not eligible for unemployment, disability, or workers compensation benefits (California Chamber of Commerce, 1991). There is no certain and consistent definition to distinguish an employee and an independent contractor. However, there are a number of rules that govern whether someone is an employee or an independent contractor; and each of the rules has its own characteristic in determining the issue.
The study examines and analyzes the relationship between culture and reputation in the banking industry in Indonesia. To attain this destination, we utilize the employees working in the banks as the sample by snowball sampling. As a result, this research can get 435 responses based on the survey conducted in November 2021. Furthermore, these obtained responses are analyzed by a structural equation model based on variance or partial least squares to examine the proposed hypothesis. Based on this model, this study demonstrates that indicators of bank reputation and all dimensions of culture: mission, adaptability, clan, and bureaucracy, and their items are accurate and reliable based on confirmatory factor analysis and reliability detection. Based on the hypothesis testing, this study reveals a positive tendency of bank culture on reputation.
Transmedia merupakan sebuah proses penyaduran, translasi, dan upaya untuk menyampaikan gagasan sebuah cerita menjadi bentuk lain. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membahas proses transmedia pada tokoh wayang di budaya popular karakter Gatotkaca pada komik Garudayana. Penelitian ini menggunakan landasan teori tradisi lisan, alih wahana, budaya popular, komik, tokoh, dan simbol. Metode penelitian yang digunakan oleh penulis adalah metode kualitatif dengan strategi penelitian analisis wacana dan studi kasus untuk melengkapi pengumpulan data penulis. Penulis melakukan wawancara mendalam, observasi, penelusuran data online, dan studi kepustakaan. Kesimpulan yang didapatkan dari penelitian ini adalah Garudayana merupakan hasil transmedia dari cerita Mahabharata.

HasiI peneIitian yang diIakukan daIam Laboratorium JaIan serta AspaI Fakultas Teknik Jurusan Teknik SipiI Universitas Kristen lndonesia Paulus Makassar, tunjukkan karakteristik materiaI bentuk kekerasan jaIan batuan Sopai di Kabupaten Toraha Utara teIah memenuhi Ketentuan Umum Bina Marga Tahun 2018, sebagai peIapis muka jaIan. MeIaIui uji MarshaII didapat karakter campur Laston Lapis Antara pada kadar 5%, 5,5%, 6%, 6,5% dan 7%. HasiI uji perendaman MarshaII campuran Laston Lapis Antara untuk kadar aspaI terbaik 5,50%, sisa kestabiIan MarshaII adaIah 98,83% masuk dalam standard Bina Marga 2018 minimaI 90%
