Aim: Among the world's three major nectar-feeding bird taxa, hummingbirds are the most phenotypically specialized for nectarivory, followed by sunbirds, while the honeyeaters are the least phenotypically specialized taxa. We tested whether this phenotypic specialization gradient is also found in the interaction patterns with their floral resources.Location: Americas, Africa, Asia and Oceania/Australia. Methods:We compiled interaction networks between birds and floral resources for 79 hummingbird, nine sunbird and 33 honeyeater communities. Interaction specialization was quantified through connectance (C), complementary specialization (H 2 0 ), binary (Q B ) and weighted modularity (Q), with both observed and null-model corrected values. We compared interaction specialization among the three types of bird-flower communities, both independently and while controlling for potential confounding variables, such as plant species richness, asymmetry, latitude, insularity, topography, sampling methods and intensity.Results: Hummingbird-flower networks were more specialized than honeyeaterflower networks. Specifically, hummingbird-flower networks had a lower proportion of realized interactions (lower C), decreased niche overlap (greater H 2 0 ) and greater modularity (greater Q B ). However, we found no significant differences between hummingbird-and sunbird-flower networks, nor between sunbird-and honeyeaterflower networks.

Grey Gull is commonly found in coastal areas, foraging directly on the sea surface (Duffy 1980) or along the shoreline (Howell et al. 1974). During the breeding period it moves inland, nesting in a distant desert region in Chile, up to 100 km from the coast (Erize et al. 2006). It is one of the few bird species adapted to nest in the Atacama Desert (Chile), considered the world's driest environment (Aguilar et al. 2012). The species' nesting site was described only in 1943 by Goodall & Johnson (1945) in a desert area in the province of Antofagasta (Chile), answering one of the major questions on the species ecology. There are nine Gull species recorded in Brazil: three resident species, three visitors from the north or south and three vagrant species (Piacentini et al. 2015). This article presents the first documented record of Grey Gull for the Brazilian territory. The order Procellariiformes comprises mainly oceanic species that are occasionally recorded from along the Brazilian coast. We presents the first records of Lugensa brevirostris (Lesson, 1831) (Kerguelen Petrel) and Phoebetria palpe brata (Forster, 1785) (Light-mantled Albatross) for the state of São Paulo, Brazil. Both species were recorded from the municipality of Ilha Comprida. Lugensa brevirostris was recorded on 25 May 2016 and P. palpebrata on 3 October 2016. Therefore, we add 2 important records to the Brazilian avifauna and suggest the inclusion of both species on the list of birds in São Paulo.
