Giant Dielectric Constant Response of the Composites in Ternary SystemCuO-TiO2-CaO. -Giant dielectric constants >10 4 occur for most composites in the CuO-rich region and in the region along the CaO-CuO binary line of the title system. These composites can be fabricated in a single step at a sintering temperature of 950°C. A comparable giant dielectric constant is obtained for composites in the CaCu 3 Ti 4 O 12 -rich region when sintered at 1050°C. The grain size distributions in most composites with giant dielectric constants are bimodal. Smaller grains with secondary phases are located on the surface or the boundaries of the bigger grains, which are composed of the predominant phases. -(VEITH*, M.; REN, S.; WITTMAR, M.; BOLZ, H.; J. scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
