Introduction: Medical waste generation during the Covid19 pandemic increased by around 30%. Sources of medical waste generation are health care activities. If medical waste is not appropriately managed, it can pollute the environment and disturb health. The purpose of the review is to identify the potential of medical waste in health-care facilities in Indonesia when the Covid19 pandemic and to review medical waste management in Indonesia. The analysis uses a systematic literature review. Discussion: The potential of medical waste during the Covid19 epidemic is infectious waste (PPE wastes), sharps waste (syringes), chemical waste (expired medicines), and pharmaceutical waste (the used alcohol bottles when rapid tests). The hazardous waste management system refers to Government Regulation No. 101 year 2014 about Management of Hazardous and Toxic Waste and and Regulation of Minister of Environment and Forestry of Republic Indonesia No. P.56/MenlhkSetjen/2015 about Procedures and Technical Requirements for Waste Management Hazardous and Toxic From the Health Service Facilities. Infectious waste, sharps waste, chemical waste, and pharmaceutical waste are destroyed with incinerators. Syringe residues were damaged with a needle shredder. Residue and incineration ashes are processed using solidification. If the heavy metal content under the quality standards, then the waste can be landfill. Conclusion: The potential of medical waste during the Covid19 pandemic is infectious waste, sharps waste, chemical waste, and pharmaceutical waste. Medical waste generated must be appropriately managed. Proper medical waste management can prevent environmental pollution and the spread of disease. One of the processing of potential medical waste is incineration. The incineration system produces residue and ash waste that must further be handled so that it does not pollute the environment and disturb health.
Pencucian bauksit adalah satu diantara tahapan yang dilakukan dalam proses pengolahan bijih bauksit. Pencuciaan bauksit bertujuan untuk menghilangkan pengotor bauksit, sehingga terjadi peningkatan kualitas dan kemurnian bahan yang diproduksi. Proses pencucian bauksit dilakukan di washing plant. Proses pencucian bauksit menggunakan peralatan mekanis yang berpotensi menyebabkan kebisingan. Efek kebisingan adalah penurunan kualitas fisik dan nonfisik pekerja. Oleh karena iu, perlu adanya kajian terkait dampak yang ditimbulkan dari kebisingan terhadap para pekerja dan upaya penanggulangannya. Faktor lain yang dikaji pada penelitian ini adalah hubungan antara dampak kebisingan dengan karakteristik pekerja. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan pada penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kuantitatif, dimana penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode observasional dan menggunakan pendekatan induktif. Adapun pengolahan data kuesioner hasil penelitian diolah menggunakan software SPSS dan perhitungan manual Product Moment. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dampak yang ditimbulkan dari kebisingan berupa gangguan komunikasi (76%), gangguan psikologis (64%), dan gangguan pendengaran (16%). Terdapat hubungan antara dampak kebisingan dengan karakteristik pekerja. Rekomendasi upaya pengendalian kebisingan adalah (1) Pemasangan papan informasi besarnya nilai intensitas kebisingan; (2) Peningkatan upaya pengawasan penggunaan Alat Pelindung Diri (APD); (3) Pemberian penghargaan kepada pekerja yang disiplin dalam menggunakan Alat Pelindung Diri (APD); (4) Memperhatikan masa pemakaian earplug dan earmuff; (5) Penanaman tanaman yang dapat mereduksi kebisingan. Kata Kunci: Bauksit, Kebisingan, Washing Plant.
Coffee shop adalah suatu usaha yang dikelola secara komersial yang menawarkan para tamu minuman, khususnya minuman kopi sebagai menu utama dan makanan kecil dengan pelayanan dalam suasana tidak formal tanpa diikuti suatu aturan servis yang baku. Usaha coffee shop menghasilkan sampah plastik berupa gelas plastik dan sedotan plastik sehingga dapat mencemari lingkungan sekitar jika dibuang langsung tanpa adanya pengelolaan terlebih dahulu. Sampah plastik memiliki potensi sebagai sumber finansial menjadi sesuatu yang bernilai ekonomi. Pengelolaan yang dapat dilakukan yaitu memanfaatkan sampah tersebut menjadi sesuatu yang bernilai ekonomi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis timbulan dan komposisi serta menganalisis potensi dan nilai ekonomi sampah plastik coffee shop di Kecamatan Pontianak Selatan. Untuk mendapatkan nilai ekonomi dilakukan dengan pengukuran timbulan sampah. Timbulan sampah diperoleh dari berat dan volume sampah rata-rata 8 hari berturut-turut dari 5 coffee shop di Kecamatan Pontianak Selatan. Pengukuran timbulan sampah menggunakan alat berupa bak pengukur 500 liter, timbangan, kantong plastik dengan volume 20 liter, dan meteran serta bahan yang digunakan yaitu sampah plastik yang dihasilkan dari coffee shop. Sampah plastik yang didapat dari Coffee shop tersebut akan dijual ke Bank Sampah Palem Asri. Hasil pengukuran sampah plastik pada coffee shop Segitiga Coffee memiliki timbulan sebesar 2,85 kg dengan nilai ekonomi sebesar Rp. 1.995. Coffee shop Kopi Koe memiliki timbulan sebesar 3,1 kg dengan nilai ekonomi sebesar Rp. 2.170. Coffee shop Koffein sebesar 0,9 kg dengan nilai ekonomi sebesar Rp 630. Coffee shop Ruang Tamu sebesar 1,35 kg dengan nilai ekonomi sebesar Rp. 945. Coffee shop Chara Coffee & Eatry sebesar 3,6 kg dengan nilai ekonomi sebesar Rp. 2.520.
Soil (topsoil and overburden) above the granite quarry in pit 2 (two) PT. Karya Sumber Alam Perkasa has experienced a landslide. It is probably caused by the condition of pit 2 (two) slopes at PT. Karya Sumber Alam Perkasa, which is currently being mined, is quite steep. External factors that can trigger the movement of rock masses are vibrations due to breakers. This condition has the potential to increase the risk of slope stability. Slope stability is influenced by geological conditions, joints, slope geometry, water conditions below the soil surface, physical and mechanical properties, and vibrations due to blasting and mechanical equipment. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct a technical study of slope stability. The research aims to study rock mass class, potential type of landslide, and potential slope stability. The technical study of slope stability uses the Slope Mass Rating (SMR) method. Data processing using software Rocscience Dips 7.016. Analysis of potential types of landslides based on stereographic projections. The result of the RMR calculation is 78, so the rock mass class is number II, which is included in the excellent category. The results analysis of the potential for the type of failure indicates t tends to lead to the toppling failure, but after the study, there is no failure because it does not meet the landslide requirements. The result of the analysis of potential slope stability is that the slope in pit 2 (two) is safe or stable because the SMR value is 78 and the safety factor value is 2,458.
PT. Dinamika Sejahtera Mandiri has 6 settling ponds. One of the factors that must be considered in mining activities is the residue from the washing process that will enter the settling pond. Pool conditions at PT. The Mandiri Sejahtera Dynamics seems to be almost full, which requires a study on the maintenance of the settling pond to be carried out. This research aims to plan and schedule the dredging of the settling pond and the addition of tools for optimal pond maintenance.The research was conducted by collecting primary and secondary data, primary data consisting of tailings samples, circulation time, and full discharge time. While secondary data consists of rainfall, equipment specifications, pond depth, and pond area. Then it will be processed from the calculation of planned rainfall, rainwater discharge, percent solid, particle velocity, settling material, pond dredging time and the number of additional tools.
Tanjungpura University is one of the State Universities in West Kalimantan. Waste management in the Tanjungpura University area still applies the old waste management paradigm. Waste management in the Tanjungpura University area still applies the old paradigm of waste management, which has an impact on environmental problems, because waste management has not been handled optimally. Therefore, it is necessary to plan a waste management system with a new paradigm that integrates the 3R concept (Reuse, Reduce and recycle) with the Waste Bank. The research data were obtained through in-depth interviews and field sampling using the SNI-19-3964-1994 method for 8 days. The results of the study show that waste generation in 2035 will be 39,035 l/day. The projected results of waste generation and waste composition form the basis for waste management system planning. The waste management system includes sorting waste at the source, designing segregated containers, designing waste collection cars, processing organic and inorganic waste, and designing 3R-based Waste Processing Site which is integrated with the Waste Bank. This plan is expected to help develop Tanjungpura University with a Green Campus concept.
Occupational safety and health aim to create a safe and comfortable environment in carrying out activities or work. In PT ANTAM's bauxite transportation activities, there are still occupational safety and health risks. The purpose of this study was to determine the frequency rate, accident severity (Severity Rate), and Safe T Score in PT ANTAM's bauxite transportation activities. The research method used is a descriptive method, which is a research method that describes quantitative data according to the conditions in the field of bauxite transportation activities. The results of the study are (1) The results of the calculation of the frequency rate of 0 which indicate that there were no mining accidents in bauxite transportation activities in January-September 2019; (2) The result of the calculation of the severity rate (Severity Rate) of the accident is 0 which indicates the absence of the severity of the mining accidents that resulted in that month due to the absence of mining accidents that occurred in that month; (3) The results of the calculation of the safe T-score of 0 indicate the work accident control program does not show a significant change.
