Background. Breast cancer is the most common cancer which attacks 2.1 million women annually. The high incidence of ULD is a negative impact that affects the quality of life of patients. m-Health Application is a tool that can facilitate the process of service or health care. Purpose. To know the effectiveness of m-Health Application usage in preventing Upper Limb Dysfunction (ULD) by increasing physical activity of patients after breast cancer treatment. Method. Relevant articles that were published between 2013 and 2018 were retrieved from EBSCOhost, Scopus, ScienceDirect, ProQuest, and SAGE databases, using keywords like mobile health application, breast cancer, physical activity, upper limb dysfunction. Results. This study uses 9 literatures, including 3 journals with randomised controlled trial (RCT) design, 1 quasi-experimental journal, 1 cross-sectional journal, 1 journal using a pilot study, and 1 journal using qualitative design alongside with focus group method. Almost all literatures show positive results of mobile health application in increasing physical activity of breast cancer patients. Conclusion. Mobile health application can significantly prevent the occurrence of ULD by increasing the practice of patients' physical activity through application features, such as video, games, SMS, telephone, e-mail, and the internet web. Keywords mobile health application, breast cancer, physical activity, upper limb dysfunction.
The novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is a global pandemic in all over countries. Nurses as frontline worker who taking care of infected patients and have high risk of being infected by COVID-19. This pandemic affects physical and psychological conditions of nurses. The aim of this study was to identify the correlation between nurse’s burnout and risk of infection anxiety toward quality of life. This study used descriptive cross-sectional design. A total of 102 participants joined this research. The participants were nurses who work in COVID-19 isolation room. The data collecting process has done by online. The participants filled informed consent and questionnaire by online questionnaire. The study was assessed by Professional Quality of Life-5 (ProQOL-5), C-19ASS (COVID-19 Anxiety Syndrome Scale), and CBI (Copenhagen Burnout Inventory). This study was analyzed using non-parametric Kruskal Wallis. The results of the study were 56.9% of respondents had a high level of anxiety, 50% of them experienced burnout. There is a significant relationship between length of work and quality of life of CS (p value = 0.048). There is also a relationship between burnout and STS quality of life (p value = 0.033). The pandemic situation is being fluctuated and people adapted to it. The anxiety and burnout feeling was also change anytime. The more nurses being prepared, the lower burnout, and having good quality of life. The good teamwork to support and feeling of being appreciate give good quality of life for nurses.
Background: Chemotherapy induced Alopecia (CIA) is one of the most complained and cause the highest distress in breast cancer patients with chemotherapy. Cryotherapy or Scalp Cooling is an alternative intervention to reduce metabolism of cytotoxic agents against hair follicle by lowering the temperature of the scalp. Literature that discusses the effectiveness of Cryotherapy in breast cancer patients is still limited. Objective: Summarize and investigate the effect of Cryotherapy on preventing Chemotherapy induced Alopecia in breast cancer patients and its determinant factors of successfull Cryotherapy . Design: Literature ReviewData Sources: A search was performed by using Ebscohost, Scopus, Science Direct, and ProQuest database from 2009 to 2019 for research article.Review methods: A systematic process was used to analyze and extract data include studies using CASP.Result: From 278 articles that have been observed using CASP, only 10 articles match the inclusion criteria. Total respondents in 10 articles were 1201 breast cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy. All articles used in this study showed positive results about the effect of Cryotherapy on decreasing the severity of Chemotherapy Induced Alopecia (CIA) measured by hair preservation, hair loss, hair regrowth, and decreasing use a wig or head covering. The importance of continuously monitoring the patient's condition to manage the side effects caused by Cryotherapy such as headaches, cold, and nausea. Conclusion:Cryotherapy significantly reduce the severity of CIA by inhibit the process of mitosis and vasoconstriction. There are several factors that must be considered when giving Cryotherapy, such as type of chemotherapy, dosages, device, duration of administration, and temperature. For further research, it is important to considered some factors that can affect the successfull of Cryotherapy and the patient response
Introduction: Hepatitis A virus (HAV) can cause inflammation in the liver. Indonesia is one of the countries with a high prevalence rate of hepatitis. The hepatitis A outbreak is an indicator of the lack of student’s concern in maintaining the food, drinks, or environment hygiene. Objective: The aim of the study was to determine the relationship between knowledge, attitude, and practice towards incidence of hepatitis A virus infection in nursing students. Methods: This research was a quantitative study with a descriptive analytical correlation design using a cross-sectional approach. The sampling technique used cluster sampling and 200 participants were obtained from nursing students in several colleges in Jember. The data collection process used an online google form for the questionnaires, because of the pandemic situation. The data analysis was carried out in univariate and bivariate analysis using Chi-square test. Results: The research results showed that there was a relationship between knowledge with incidence of hepatitis A infection which is significantly associated with alpha of 0.046 (<0.05) and OR of 1.140. There was no relationship between attitude and incidence of hepatitis A infection with alpha = 0.489 (> 0.05), as well as the relationship between practice and incidence of hepatitis A infection (p=0.489). High knowledge level has an important role in preventing the hepatitis A infection risk. Conclusion: Student’s attitude and practice are not significantly associated, because even the nursing students knew what to do for prevention of infection risk, they still didn’t do it in their daily activity.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
