The amount of heat energy wasted on the furnace wall is of concern to researchers who are trying to utilize the heat energy wasted from a furnace wall as a generator or source of electricity. The waste heat from the combustion in the furnace can now be used as a source of electricity. The waste heat is converted into electricity using a thermoelectric generator, the TEG generator is an electrical generator device that converts heat (temperature difference) directly into electrical energy. In this research, the heat used is the cylindrical wall of the furnace with variations in the size of the pump that flows the coolant to the waterblock, to determine the efficiency and magnitude of the power pump used to cool the hot side of the TEG, which produces a high temperature difference and also produces large electrical energy. thermoelectric generator module reused 4 pieces SP1848 27145 SA module.
This aims of this study to determine the effect of multilayer welding on ASTM A106 type carbon steel pipe material on the characteristics of the microstructure, hardness and maximum tensile strength of the material. ASTM A106 type carbon steel pipe is used as a raw material for welding using the Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) method. Welding on material joints is carried out in three layers (multilayer welding), namely the root pass, hot pass, and capping layers. There are two variations of welding specimens carried out in this study, namely in specimen 1 the currents used were 60, 70 and 80 A while in specimen 2 the currents used were 70, 80 and 90 A. To determine the effect of current variations on each specimen carried out three include Vickers Testing, microstructure testing and tensile testing. The results show that the base metal area is dominated by the ferrite phase, which indicates that the area has low hardness while the weld shows more perlite phase than ferrite besides the grain size is smaller and denser; this indicates that the hardness level will increase when compared to base metal. The results of the hardness test for all variations of the specimen concluded that the highest hardness value was in the weld. From the tensile test, it can be concluded that specimen 2 has a greater tensile strength of 2.5% when compared to specimen 1.

Korosi yang terjadi terhadap mesin atau alat yang ada di laboratorium memiliki tingkat kerusakan yang cukup tinggi, akan tetapi tidak memiliki interval waktu ataupun mediasi pengukur mengenai kapan waktu pelaksanaan Preventive Maintenancenya, Sehingga proses pencegahan korosi masih belum bisa terlaksana dengan maksimal. Dimasa sekarang dengan laju serta tingkat pertumbuhan teknologi yang tinggi, maka dilakukan inovasi mengenai alat ukur serta metode pengukuran menggunakan sebuah hardware yang dipadukan dengan beberapa macam sensor untuk meningkatkan kemampuan serta dengan berat da ukuran yang mudah dibawa kemana saja. Alat Ukur tersebut diberi nama Alat Ukur Portable. Alat ukur ini mampu memberikan informasi setiap saat melalui web tentang tinggakat keasaman udara sekitar serta pencemaran udara yang terjadi, sehingga informasi tersebut di jadikan interval waktu dalam melakukan Preventive Maintenancenya
The standard box car design has a large drag and wake area which results in high fuel consumption. One way to reduce drag and wake area is to modify the box car design. Modifications were made by adding an aerokit spoiler and deflector to a standard box car which is expected to reduce drag and wake areas. The next step is to design a simulation using CFD-based CAD. The analysis was carried out with three variations of speed, namely 60 km/hour, 80 km/hour and 100 km/hour. The simulation results show that the design of the box car with the modification of the addition of aerokit spoilers and deflectors can reduce the drag and wake areas.
