A Indústria da Construção Civil (ICC) tem buscado alternativas sustentáveis para seus processos e produtos, com enfoque no desenvolvimento de mecanismos mais limpos que minimizem o impacto ambiental. Objetiva-se neste trabalho identificar lacunas nas políticas públicas relacionadas ao setor da ICC que dificultam o desenvolvimento de ecoinovações. A metodologia apoiou-se na busca patentária para identificar os tipos de ecoinovações da ICC, bem como no levantamento de políticas públicas relacionadas que, analisadas conjuntamente, permitiram realizar uma leitura do desenvolvimento verde do setor. Os resultados apontam o baixo número de registro de patentes verdes, bem como a incipiência de políticas que incentivem a produção e o desenvolvimento verde no setor. A partir das constatações, são apontadas perspectivas para o processo de transformação da ICC, direcionadas ao setor das edificações, evidenciando a importância de desenvolvimento de ações sistêmicas envolvendo os agentes da cadeia construtiva, do poder público e da sociedade.
O solo-cimento autoadensável (SCAA) se apresenta como alternativa para utilização em sistemas de vedação vertical (SVV) visando aperfeiçoar o desempenho das edificações. Analisa-se por meio de simulação computacional o desempenho térmico de uma habitação localizada na zona bioclimática 7, idealizada em dois sistemas construtivos: SVV de SCAA com incorporação de resíduos de areia de construção civil e SVV de tijolos cerâmicos rebocados. A edificação com SCAA apresentou 4,3% a mais de horas de ocupação dentro da faixa de temperatura operativa e 1,3°C a menos de temperatura operativa anual máxima em relação a com tijolos cerâmicos, proporcionando melhor habitabilidade aos usuários.
O controle da absorção de água e retração nas argamassas é um requisito dos sistemas de vedação vertical (SVV) das edificações, a fim de evitar patologias construtivas. Este trabalho tem o objetivo de analisar a influência da incorporação de fibras de polipropileno na absorção de água e retração de argamassa de solo-cimento autoadensável (SCAA) que contém areia de Resíduo de Construção Civil (RCC), para uso em SVV. A partir de um traço de referência, o método consistiu em realização dos ensaios laboratoriais de absorção de água e retração, considerando a adição de fibra de polipropileno nas proporções de 0,05%, 0,1% e 0,2% em relação à massa total da mistura. Os valores de absorção de água por capilaridade e por submersão foram elevados, indicando que adição das fibras não contribuiu para aperfeiçoar essas propriedades. Já os valores de variação dimensional foram de 8,6, 9,0, 7,94 e 7,54mm/m aos 28 dias para as argamassas de referência e com fibras nas proporções de 0,05%, 0,1% e 0,2%, respectivamente. A incorporação de 0,1% e 0,2% fibras reduziu, em média, 12% a retração em relação ao traço de referência, não reforçado com fibras. Apesar do efeito benéfico das fibras, todas as argamassas se enquadram na classe de alto nível de susceptibilidade à absorção de água por capilaridade (>10 g/dm2/min1/2) e à fissuração (>1,2mm/m). Assim, a adição das fibras nas misturas pouco contribui para aperfeiçoar o traço de referência quanto aos efeitos pesquisados, indicando a necessidade outros mecanismos de controle nas argamassas de solo-cimento autoadensável.
