Abstract - Dividends are one of the objectives of investors to invest their capital. For representatives of dividends that can be seen from the liquidity and profitability obtained by the company. The better the company's liquidity and profitability, the more it will be possible for companies to pay dividends to shareholders. This study discusses how to increase liquidity and profitability on dividend payout ratio (DPR). Liquidity variables ismeasured using a Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR), profitability is measure using Return on Assets (ROA), and dividend payments using Dividend Payout Ratio (DPR). In this study the population used was 55 banking companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in the period 2013-2017. The research sample selection uses a purposive sampling method obtained by 8 banking sector companies that meet the criteria. Hypothesis testing uses multiple linear regression to determine the influence between variables by using SPSS. Statistical test result show that based on regression testing, liquidity has effect to dividend payments. While profitability does not affect dividend payout ratios.
The mining sector is a manufacturing company sector whose activities consist of extracting, processing and exploiting and selling coal, minerals, metals and natural gas. This research was conducted with the aim to determine whether ROA is affected by cash turnover, accounts receivable turnover and inventory turnover using documentation as a data collection and a method of multiple linear regression analysis through SPSS data processing. The population used is the mining and quarrying sector companies listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) from 2017-2019 totaling 43 companies. The purposive sampling method was used in determining the sample which resulted in 33 samples. The research shows that cash turnover, accounts receivable turnover and inventory turnover have no effect on ROA because this is due to a decrease in the amount of production, cash flow constraints due to low turnover of accounts receivable and low sales so that inventory turnover is slow and inventory costs are higher.
