La Constitution européenne et la presse britannique : de la désinformation au mythe.
Cet article vise à démontrer comment le pouvoir de la presse et son parti pris eurosceptique «accepté » ont mis Tony Blair dans une situation où l’application de sa politique européenne - la ratification du traité constitutionnel - est impossible. L’article se concentre sur trois aspects de cette question : d’abord, l’incapacité de Tony Blair de poursuivre sa décision de ratifier le traité à cause de la pression et d’une opinion publique négative de plus en plus fortes. Ensuite, la pression «pro-référendum » qui est devenue pour l’essentiel une campagne pour le «Non » ; et enfin, la montée de l’UKIP à la lumière du débat constitutionnel qui a eu lieu avant les élections au Parlement européen et avant les élections locales en Grande-Bretagne.
