Este trabalho visa relatar uma experiência de audiodescrição em contexto real, ligada à extensão universitária. Essa experiência consistiu na audiodescrição da exposição Frida Kahlo: Conexões entre mulheres surrealistas no México, ocorrida na CAIXA Cultural de Brasília, de 13 de abril a 5 de junho de 2016, realizada pelo Grupo de Pesquisa e Extensão Acesso Livre - UnB. Primeiramente foram realizados estudos preliminares sobre a audiodescrição de obras de arte visuais e, em seguida, foi feita a escolha das obras a serem audiodescritas pelos alunos membros do grupo com supervisão e revisão das coordenadoras e autoras deste trabalho. Após a confecção dos roteiros, foi realizada visita à exposição com 11 pessoas com deficiência visual. O retorno dos participantes com deficiência visual e a autoavaliação dos alunos demonstram que experiências em contextos reais e com usuários reais auxiliam a treinar futuros audiodescritores com consciência da importância de sua ação cidadã, além de aprimorar suas habilidades.Palavras chaves: audiodescrição; extensão universitária; obras de arte visuais; Frida Khalo
No Instituto de Letras da Universidade de Brasília têm sido desenvolvidas pesquisas de exemplar qualidade e ineditismo em torno da temática da acessibilidade, tanto do ponto de vista da tradução audiovisual quanto da educação inclusiva. Este livro, intitulado Tradução e acessibilidade: métodos, técnicas e aplicações, é uma mostra do trabalho realizado em nossa unidade académica no âmbito do ensino, da pesquisa e da extensão. Muitos trabalhos oriundos do grupo já foram publicados e geraram contribuições significativas, mas esta é a primeira vez que aparecem reunidos num mesmo volume. Compilada em dez artigos de autoria individual e coletiva com o intuito de disseminar de maneira integrada o conhecimento produzido em nossa instituição, a obra gira em torno a temas atuais repartidos em três grandes eixos temáticos: novas modalidades de tradução voltadas para a acessibilidade linguística e sensorial de textos audiovisuais; reflexões sobre a prática tradutória voltada para a acessibilidade audiovisual e museal de pessoas com deficiência sensorial e; acessibilidade na educação. O público-alvo do livro são estudantes, professores tradutores e profissionais da acessibilidade que procuram conhecimento especializado com embasamento teórico e metodológico sólido sobre o estado atual da acessibilidade audiovisual, museal e educacional para as pessoas com deficiência visual e auditiva.
Este trabalho tem por objetivo desenvolver um estudo comparativo entre as estratégias de polidez que seriam utilizadas em português e em espanhol por quatro professoras universitárias de espanhol, duas espanholas e duas brasileiras, em doze situações hipotéticas apresentadas a elas mediante questionários de hábitos sociais. A pesquisa espelhou-se em um estudo realizado por Piatti (2003) na Argentina, onde a autora observou as diferenças pragmáticas existentes entre um grupo de estudantes estrangeiros de espanhol e um grupo de falantes nativos argentinos. Com um perfil diferente de participantes, quatro professoras que transitam facilmente entre as duas línguas e culturas, buscou-se ampliar as reflexões sobre a competência pragmática e sobre as diferenças interculturais entre brasileiros e espanhóis. A partir dos resultados obtidos, tentamos estabelecer algumas diferenças interculturais entre as estratégias de polidez utilizadas no Brasil e na Espanha.
O presente artigo propõe uma reflexão sobre o uso de material audiovisual legendado no ensino/aprendizagem de língua estrangeira (LE) com o objetivo de promover a reflexão sobre o potencial pedagógico das legendas interlinguais com vistas ao desenvolvimento da competência intercultural. Para tanto, faz-se uma revisão dos conceitos de tradução pedagógica e competência intercultural e, em seguida, se apresentam algumas bases metodológicas para trabalhar com legendas interlinguais dentro do paradigma comunicativo. Espera-se, com as discussões e propostas aqui apresentadas, contribuir para a desmistificação da tradução como erva daninha para a aquisição de uma nova língua.
