Ülevaade. Küsimus, kas ja miks on laste varase sõnavara hulgas üle-kaalus nimisõnad, on olnud paljude kirjutiste huvi keskmes. Siinses artiklis vaadeldakse sõnaliikide jaotumist ja esinemissagedust eesti lapse kõne varasel arenguperioodil vanuses 1;3-2;3 ning lapsele suunatud kõnes. Analüüsiks on kasutatud kahe lapse spontaanse kõne lindistusi mahus kokku 16 tundi. Materjalist ilmneb, et ka eesti lastel on sarnaselt inglise keelt kõnelevate lastega varase sõnavara hulgas ülekaalus nimisõnad. Samas ei anna vanemate kõne neile sellist sõna-liikide jaotumist ette, vanemate kõnes moodustavad nimisõnad umbes veerandi kõikidest sõnedest. Vaadeldud aasta jooksul nimisõnade esinemissagedus laste keeles väheneb ning vanuses 2;3 sarnaneb laste kõne sõnaliikide jaotumine vanemate omaga.Võtmesõnad: sõnaliigid, lastekeel, lapsele suunatud kõne, eesti keel Sissejuhatuseks: keeleüksuste kasutussageduse roll keeleomandamisesKeeleüksuste kasutussagedust on täiskasvanud keelekasutajate puhul peetud oluliseks keele igal tasandil, nii toetab muutemorfoloogias näiteks sagedus ebareeglipäraste vormide elujõulisust (Bybee 1995: 428) ning on oluline keelemuutuste tekkepõhjus (Diessel 2007: 108). Diesseli (2007: 123) sõnul põhineb keeleüksuste esinemissageduse mõju sellisel psüühilisel mehhanismil, mis seisneb mingi (keelelise) esituse ehk vormi tugevdamisel. Elena Lieveni väitel muudab sagedus ühed esitused n-ö tugevamaks kui teised: tugevamad esitused ehk keeleüksused tunneme kiiremini ära ning nende põhjal loome ka üldistusi ehk paigutame uusi elemente mingite reeglite alla (Lieven 2010(Lieven : 2546. Kindlasti võib sama väita ka laste alles omandatava keele kohta, kus sagedusest sõltub paljuski näiteks nii käändevormide, muuttüüpide kui ka üksikute lekseemide omandamine (vt nt Vihman, Vija 2006, Argus 2008.
Ülevaade. Eesti hoidjakeele uurimine on valdkond, millega on põh-jalikumalt tegelema hakatud alles viimasel kümnendil, seetõttu leidub hoidjakeele tasandeid, mille kohta info on napp või puudub üldse. Siinne artikkel annab esmalt ülevaate uurimusest, mis vaatleb eesti hoidjakeeles kasutatavaid küsilausungeid teiste keelte (vene, leedu, aga ka prantsuse ja Austria saksa) taustal. Seejärel kirjeldatakse kaht tulemusi täpsustavat kontrolluuringut. Artiklist selgub ka, kuidas jagunevad küsilausungid eesti, vene ja leedu hoidjakeeles nende positsioonist, pragmaatilisest rollist, funktsioonist ja struktuurist lähtuvalt.Võtmesõnad: keeleomandamine, pragmaatika, eesti keel, vene keel, leedu keel SissejuhatusViimase kümne aasta jooksul on eesti laste keeleomandamise uurimise juures hakatud üha suuremat tähelepanu pöörama ka suhtluse teisele poolele -lastele suunatud kõnele ehk hoidjakeelele. Hoidjakeel on dünaamiline kõneregister, mida kasutab täiskasvanu lapsega kõneldes. Hoidjakeele sõnavara ja suhtlemisstrateegiad on individuaalsed ning muutuvad lapse kasvamisega. Varasema perioodi hoidjakeelt iseloomustavad arvukad kordused, täiskasvanule suunatud kõnega võrreldes lühemad laused, mis on oma suhtluseesmärgi tõttu pigem küsi-või väitlaused, ning onomatopoeetiliste sõnade ja deminutiivide rohkus. Siinse artikli kontekstis on hoidjakeele all silmas peetud varajase perioodi hoidjakeelt (ingl baby talk), mida vanem kõneleb alla kolmeaastase lapsega.Kuigi esimesi vihjeid lastele suunatud kõne kohta võib leida juba ligi saja aasta tagusest kirjutisest (Mägiste 1924), jäävad esimesed tänapäevased hoidjakeele käsitlused tõepoolest veidi enam kui kümne aasta tagusesse aega (Tulviste 2000, Pajusalu 2001, Argus 2003. Nüüdseks on eesti lastekeele uurijad jõudnud üks-meelsele seisukohale, et laste-ja hoidjakeel on teineteisega tihedalt seotud ning
Ülevaade. Paralleelselt lastekeele ja selle omandamise uurimisega on Eestis viimastel kümnenditel uuritud lastekeelega tihedalt seotud hoidjakeelt. Erinevalt eesti keelest on neid kaht keelevarianti võõrkeel-ses teaduskirjanduses nimetatud mitme eri terminiga, eesti keeles on piirdutud üksnes lastekeele, hoidjakeele ja lapsele suunatud kõnega, mis aga ei anna laste-ja hoidjakeeleuurijatele piisavat hulka vajalikke ja täpseid töövahendeid. Terminite ja nende mõistesisu paljude tõlgen-duste tõttu on praeguseks kujunenud vajadus määrata kindlaks lapsele suunatud kõne eri kasutusjuhud, kuna eri vanuses ja eri lähedusastmes olevate lastega räägitakse isemoodi.Et vältida segadust, kus autori eelistustest lähtuvalt on ühe terminiga tähistatud mitut mõistesisu, on siinse artikli eesmärk ühelt poolt avada võõrkeelses teaduskirjanduses käibel olevate terminite mõiste-sisu ning teiselt poolt neid täpsustada ja anda soovitusi, kuidas võiks neid termineid edaspidi eesti laste-ja hoidjakeele uurimisel kasutada.* Võtmesõnad: esimese keele omandamine, lapsele suunatud kõne, isade kõne, emade kõne, terminivara, eesti keel SissejuhatusKas lastega kõneldes kasutatakse üksnes mugandatud keelevarianti? Kas kaheaastasele lapsele ja täiskasvanud lapsele suunatud kõnet võiks tähistada ühe ja sama terminiga? Kes on täiskasvanud laps? Kuhu tõmmata piir, mis vanusest alates laps ei ole enam laps? Nii laste-kui ka hoidjakeele uurimisse süvenedes tekib uurijal rohkelt küsimusi, mis annab tunnistust erialaselt tunnetatud vajadusest erinevate, sisult täpsete terminite järele. Siit ka küsimus -kas selleks, et kirjeldada, kuidas laps keelt omandab ja täiskasvanu seda toetab, piisab ainuüksi * Autorid tänavad retsensente hoolika süvenemise ja asjakohaste märkuste eest.
Ülevaade. Artiklis arutletakse hoidjakeele ja lastekeele kvalitatiivse ja funktsioonilise erisuse üle. Peamiselt refereerivas artiklis antakse üle-vaade sisendkeele olemusest ja tunnusjoontest, tuuakse esile keelelise sisendi ja väljundi sarnasused ja erinevused ning kirjeldatakse, kuidas eri faktorid mõjutavad lapsega suhtlemist, sh lapsega kõneldavat keelt.Kuna laps omandab keele kõnekogukonnas, kus suhtlusolukorrad on erinevad ning eri vestlusosaliste fonoloogiline, morfoloogiline, süntaktiline ja semantiline pädevus isesugune, on lapsega kõneldav keel dünaamiline ja muutub lapse vanusega. Lapsega kõnelemise viisil arvatakse meie kultuuris olevat tähtis roll ja hulk keelenähtusi, mis teatud ajavahemikul esinevad lapsele suunatud kõnes, peegelduvad samal ajal ka lapse enese kõnes. Teisalt on keelenähtusi, mis on küll olemas täiskasvanu kõnes, ent ei kajastu sugugi lapse omas, mistõttu ei saa loota, et kogu sisendkeel hakkab kohe peegelduma ka lapse kõnes.Arutletakse, kas ja kuivõrd on oluline, kuidas lapsega suheldakse, ning kas sisendkeelel on oluline funktsioon kõne arengu toetamisel.Võtmesõnad: esimese keele omandamine, lapsele suunatud kõne, hoidjakeel, lastekeel, eesti keel SissejuhatusTavapäraselt tõlgendatakse hoidjakeelena üksnes seda kõnet, mida räägib lapsega ema, ehkki selle terminiga tähistatakse tegelikult igasugust kõnet, mida laps kuuleb, olgu siis kõnelejaks ema või mõni muu lähedane ning olgu kõne otse lapsele suunatud või mitte.1 Keeleomandamisel on laias laastus kaks osalist, kellest üks -laps -võtab vastu selle, mida talle pakutakse. Pikapeale pakub laps, kes on viibinud keelelise sisendi mõjuväljas, midagi, mida nimetame keeleliseks väljundiks. Laste-ja hoidjakeeleuurimustes on hulk artikleid (nt Ninio 2011, Behrens 2006, 2009, Lieven 2010 pühendatud just hoidja-ja lastekeele vastastikmõju uurimisele, sealjuures 1 Vt autorite artiklit laste-ja hoidjakeele uurimise soovituslikest terminitest (Kõrgesaar, Kapanen 2015).
