En el presente estudio, se propone estimar la probabilidad que tiene una persona en Bogotá de fallecer al contraer el virus SARS-COV-2. Esta probabilidad es estimada a partir de modelos econométricos probabilísticos, para este caso a partir del Modelo Logit. Se proponen diferentes variables sociales y económicas, que pueden incidir de manera directa en las personas que residen en las diferentes localidades de la ciudad. En el estudio se evidencia que la población más afectada y de mayor probabilidad de contagiarse es la de más escasos recursos y que vive en condiciones de vulnerabilidad.
Se expone un análisis de los efectos del COVID 19 a nivel del Departamento de Cundinamarca y más específicamente de los municipios aledaños a Bogotá, usando como información de referencia la base de datos de infectados por el virus del Portal del Estado Colombiano (GOV.CO) y la base de Datos Abiertos https://sig.sispro.gov.co/SituacionCOVID/. Se busca explicar la cantidad de fallecidos en los municipios aledaños a partir de variables como el género, la edad y el tiempo de diagnóstico entre otros. Además, se estiman resultados econométricos en donde se considera tanto las relaciones de carácter social, económico, espacial y territorial que ayudan a comprender de qué forma el distrito capital tiene incidencia en los contagios de los municipios aledaños.
El presente documento hace un análisis de las diferencias de ingresos por género en Colombia para el año 2018 junto con otros determinantes que afectan los ingresos de los jefes de hogar. Se abordan los elementos teóricos que definen las diferencias salariales tales como la descomposición Blinder-Oaxaca y la ecuación de Miner, lo que se complementa con la teoría de la discriminación. Metodológicamente se parte de la información reportada en la encuesta de calidad de vida del departamento de estadísticas DANE, se realiza un análisis estadístico descriptivo y un modelo econométrico. Se encuentra que en promedio el género femenino cabeza de hogar en Colombia devenga menos que sus pares masculinos, así como que las mayores diferencias corresponden a los niveles de educación, lo que a su vez puede tener implicaciones en términos de otros indicadores sociales como el de la pobreza.
