AbstractIn the global literature there is no article that is related to aging, oxidative stress and disease states to exercise in people over 60, and this work is a step in the study of these interactions.Ageing is a natural process that involves interaction of genetic and environmental factors, implying a series of degenerative changes such as reduction of the physiological function and increasing the probability of illness and death. One of the most accepted theories is the shortening of telomeres, structures that protect the ends of eukaryotic chromosomes, preventing mergers that occur between them or they can recombine genetic material stored incorrectly.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
