The recent progress on the self-consistent tilted axis cranking model based on the covariant density functional theory with point-coupling interaction and its application to the antimagnetic rotation (AMR) in nuclei are briefly reported. In particular, the microscopic description of the newly observed AMR band in 105 Cd is discussed. Without any additional parameter, the experimental B(E2) values are reproduced very well. Moreover, the appearance of the "twoshears-like" mechanism in the AMR band is clearly seen.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
