The decline of conventional oil reserves leads to the exploitation of acid crudes. However, its acid components are of great concern to the industry due to its corrosivity and depreciated market value. The internationally accepted index that determines the acidity in crude oils is the total acid number (TAN), however, its reliability is questioned. In order to find out the most important papers and countries in this research field, a bibliometric analysis on petroleum acidity is presented. The database used for the bibliometric analysis was the Web of Science® (WoS). From the research results, a database of articles was built, and a great number of publications on characterization of naphthenic acids, determination of acidity and extraction of acidic compounds from petroleum was discovered. This indicates the relevance of the research on acid crudes, in addition, the frequent attempt to introduce new methods for its determination indicates that there is still a field of research to be explored.
Resumo: A importância do coalbed methane tem crescido ao longo do tempo e já representa atualmente 8% da produção de gás anual nos EUA. Entretanto, a produção desse tipo de gás traz consigo vários desafios e diversos fatores podem afetar a produtividade de um reservatório de CBM. Operações de perfuração e completação podem ocasionar na redução da permeabilidade ao redor do poço. Um fator que determina a magnitude do dano ou estímulo da formação é o fator de película e a região onde a permeabilidade foi alterada no poço é chamada de zona de película. Informações acerca da magnitude da alteração desta zona de película pode ser obtida a partir de análises de teste de pressão em poços produtores de hidrocarbonetos. Os testes consistem em registrar a vazão de gás produzido e registrar também simultaneamente a resposta da pressão no fundo do poço ao longo do tempo. O pós-processamento desta informação de campo permite obter parâmetros médios do reservatório. Neste trabalho tem-se como objetivo estimar a permeabilidade e o fator de película num poço produtor de gás do tipo coalbed methane a partir do teste de pressão drawdown. É utilizado o software IHS WellTest. Os resultados obtidos são coerentes com o que se espera de um reservatório com estas características. Abstract:The importance of coalbed gas methane has grown over time and it already represents over 8% of the annual gas production in the US. However, the production of this type of gas is challenging and several factors affect its productivity. For example, drilling and completion operations may result in reduced permeability around the well. A factor that determines the magnitude of the formation damage or stimulus is the skin factor and the region where the permeability was changed near the wellbore is called skin zone. The skin zone can be estimated using pressure well tests. Therefore, the present work aims to determine the permeability and skin factor in a coalbed methane well through the drawdown test. The results presented in this paper were obtained through the software IHS WellTest.
