This paper presents understanding da’wah and khatib. Da'wah contains the meaning of an activity to invite people in a wise way to the right path for good, whether in oral, written, or deed, which is done consciously and planned in an effort to achieve welfare and happiness in this world and in the hereafter. In line with that, da'wah according to the term (semantics), contains the meaning of activities that are coaching as an effort to maintain and improve something that has existed before; and can also be defined as development as an activity that leads to renewal or holding something that does not already exist. Khatib in certain situations are sometimes the same as ulama, who as the informal opinion leader are not only considered as Islamic leaders, but are often treated as leaders of social groups or communities whose influence extends beyond the boundaries of religious areas, penetrates into political, social, political aspects, culture, and government.
This article aims to find out about: How the concept of preaching empowerment of the perspective of the Qur'an. This research is a type of library (library research) using the Thematic Interpretation approach. With the main source being the Qur'an, and focused on seven verses relating to da'wah and empowerment. And secondary sources in the form of books or books relating to the problem to be answered in this study. The results of this study reveal that the concept of empowering the people of The Qur'an perspective as follows. First, the mission of community empowerment aims to invite, order, direct, motivate to guide the target community (mad'u) to jointly make changes for the better oriented towards empowering and community independence, in order to realize shared happiness in the afterlife. Second, the context of empowerment in the Qur'an includes all aspects of both lahiriyah (material) and ruhiyah. In the lahiriyah aspect, it is carried out in the form of the construction of supporting facilities for community independence. In the aspect of empowerment, it is carried out in the form of education, recitation, etc. Third, the desired changes in the community will not be possible unless they start from each other by protecting and maintaining and developing their potential and environment that has been bestowed by Allah. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tentang bagaimana konsep dakwah pemberdayaan umat perspektif al-Qur’an. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis pustaka (library resech), dengan menggunakan pendekatan Tafsir Tematik. dengan sumber utama adalah al-Qur’an, dan terfokus pada tujuh ayat yang berkaitan dengan dakwah dan pemberdayaan. Dan sumber skunder berupa kitab-kitab atau buku yang berkaitan dengan masalah yang akan dijawab pada penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa konsep dakwah Pemberdayaan umat perspektif al-Qur’an sebagai berikut. Pertama dakwah pemberdayaan umat bertujuan untuk mengajak, menyuruh, mengarahkan, momotivasi membimbing masyarakat sasaran (mad’u) untuk bersamasama melakukan perubahan ke arah yang lebih baik yang berorientasi pada pemberdayaan dan pemandirian masyarakat, dalam rangka mewujudkan kebahagian bersama di dunia akhirat. Kedua, Konteks pemberdayaan dalam al-Qur’an mencakup seluruh aspek baik lahiriyah (material) maupun ruhiyah. Pada aspek ahiriyah dilakukan dalam bentuk pembangunan sarana-sarana penunjang kemandirian masyarakat. Pada aspek ruhiyah pemberdayaan dilakukan dalam bentuk pendidikan, pengajian dan lainya Ketiga, Perubahan yang diinginkan di masyarakat, tidak mungkin akan tejadi kecuali dengan dimulai dari diri masing-masing dengan cara menjaga dan memelihara serta mengembangkan potensi diri dan lingkungannya yang telah dianugrahkan oleh Allah Swt.
The success of community empowerment programs is influenced by efforts to re-interpret the community as an object of empowerment. In traditional Minangkabau, a community is identical to the Kaum, a group of people classified by matrilineal lineage. Solid relationships and cooperation that are part of communal interaction in Kaum significantly are instrumental in fulfilling social and personal needs. This article tries to answer a fundamental question of how social networks of economic welfare based on the Kaum as a model of empowering Islamic society. To answer this question, the inductive logic of multiple case designs is used by taking five (5) Kaum in Nagari Tabek Patah as the locus of the study. This case study used NVIVO in the data processing. This research reveals that kaum social networks are formed naturally in the community, strengthened by customary norms and laws, and become a controller in realizing economic welfare.
Empowerment is the process of creating community independence through the management of various capital, especially social capital in the community itself (self-help). Some research shows that development in Minangkabau is considered successful in the physical field. However, behind the success of physical development has an impact on erosion of socio-cultural that inherent on the Minangkabau community. This article analyzes the various forms of social capital found in Kaum as the local community of the Minangkabau people in the perspective of social capital; trust, norms, and network. The multicase study is used in the epistemological proof step by involving five (5) Kaum as the locus of study. The findings in this study conclude that; First, in the perspective of trust people have a high level of awareness so that the power to be with one another and help become more dominant. Secondly, customary and Islamic norms are deeply institutionalized in the Kaum so that social control and safety networks are more effective. The three, networks in the Kaum are permanent as the basis for laying out various interests of empowerment.
Stunting threatens qualified generation presence and greatly affects the success of a nation's development. The government has used many approaches to reduce the stunting except religious approach whereas in Indonesia as the majority Muslim country, many Indonesians are prone to follow religious leaders rather than a government official. The study obtained a strategy for accelerating stunting prevention through a religious approach. This analytic research used a qualitative approach with case study design. The participants in this research were 62 people namely advocacy, social support, and empowerment target in stunting prevention. The result showed that community empowerment in accelerating stunting prevention has not been optimally implemented. Even social support is adequate but Islamic religious counselors did not receive adequate information about stunting, so they did not optimally convey it back to the community. The policy for accelerating stunting prevention is adequate at the central, provincial, and district levels, however, the policies on religious approaches were limited. Strategy for accelerating stunting prevention through religious approach by using appropriate communication methods and channels such as pre-wedding counseling, Islamic study assemblies, and Friday sermons. Message structure or communication material on stunting prevention should become national policy.
