This study examined the relationship between of organizational justice encompassed by three components: (distributive justice, procedural justice and interactional justice) and job satisfaction, and employees’ perceptions of workplace justice. The study investigated the relationship of these justice measures in the Jordanian environment. The data was collected through the distribution of questionnaires among 229 employees of number Electrical Industrial Companies selected through a stratified random sampling. The study findings show that only one significant relationship exists between the age of respondents and their perceptions of organizational justice. The findings also suggested that this was positive association organizational justice and job satisfaction. Employee job satisfaction depends upon the organizational justice of managers. Nevertheless, in measuring the three dimensions of organizational justice, the current study used survey items that asked employees to respond to items that asked whether something is generally fair. Finally, although this study was conducted in Jordan, it is anticipated that the findings may have relevance on a broader scale. By replicating this study in different countries and contexts the results could be very helpful for developing a new model of organizational justice with new implementation techniques that can be implemented easily and successfully
Purpose -This study attempted to examine the Influence of Organizational Citizenship Behavior by five dimensions: (altruism, courtesy, sportsmanship, conscientiousness, and civic virtue) on Knowledge Sharing in the Jordanian business environment -Specifically in pharmaceutical industry companies.Design/methodology/approach -For this purpose, a questionnaire was developed and distributed to (205) employees were selected from the population of pharmaceutical industry companies. Number of (193) questionnaires were returned, (4) were rejected due to incomplete responses and (189) responses which comprises (92 %) of the target sample.Findings -The most important findings of the study reveled that dimensions of organizational citizenship behavior (respectively: Sportsmanship, Conscientiousness, and Altruism) had more impact on the knowledge sharing are.Originality/value -The paper contributes to previous research by adding to existing knowledge regarding Knowledge Sharing. The paper makes key recommendations towards development of Citizenship organizational behavior in Jordanian pharmaceutical industry companies and consequently enhancing knowledge sharing.
Purpose -The purpose of this paper is to explore the adoption of e-banking functionality and investigates the impact of e-banking on the outcomes of customer satisfaction namely, loyalty and positive WOM within the Jordanian Commercial Banks.Design/methodology/approach -A purposive sampling technique was employed to recruit 179 customers representing the desired range of demographic characteristics (e.g. gender, age, and computer use), previous internet experience levels and product-related knowledge.Findings -This research showed that adoption of e-banking (accessibility, convenience, security, privacy, content, design, speed, fees and charges) had a positive effect on Jordanian Commercial Bank customers' satisfaction, loyalty, and positive WOM.Originality/value -The paper contributes to previous research by adding to existing knowledge regarding what constitutes e-banking service. The paper makes key recommendations towards enhancing current online financial services delivery.
This study attempted to examine the extent to which Ibn Al-Haytham Hospital in Jordan, as a case study, implemented TQM constructs. The study also aimed at investigating if there were significant differences in the respondents` perception on TQM implementation due to demographic variables (gender, age, education, and years of experience). For this purpose, a questionnaire was developed and distributed to (250) employees. Number of (194) questionnaires were returned which comprises 77.6% of the target sample.The results indicated that Ibn Al-Haytham Hospital in Jordan is currently attaining a relatively above average level of TQM implementation. The results also showed that there were no significant differences in the respondents` perception on TQM implementation due to gender or age. At the same time, the study results showed that there were significant differences in the respondents` perception on TQM implementation due to education level or years of experience.The study made some recommendations regarding TQM implementation that would assist management of hospitals to increase their organizational performance and effectiveness.
This research aims to recognize the impact of servant leadership on organizational citizenship behavior in Jordanian Islamic Banks where job satisfaction is a mediating variable. The research sample is selected from three Jordanian Islamic Banks operating in Jordan. The sample selected 168 people for the current research based on a random sample technique. The results indicate that there is a positive correlation between servant leadership and organizational citizenship behavior. There is also a significant impact of the servant leadership on the organizational citizenship behavior and a significant impact of servant leadership on the organizational citizenship behavior through job satisfaction at the Jordanian Islamic Banks.
Integrating environmental objectives into an organization’s mission and strategies improves the organization’s image as a socially responsible organization and helps it take a leading position of advantage. Due to the increasing pressures towards sustainability and environmental policies, organizations are making efforts in this direction. This study is aimed at identifying the impact of green organizational identity (GOI) on green innovation (GI). Data were collected from 168 employees working in food and beverage industry companies listed on the Amman Stock Exchange. SPSS was employed to analyze the data and test the hypothesis. The study finds a significant positive effect of GOI on GI product and GI process. The study recommends that companies show interest in GOI for their role in raising GI levels. Due to cultural differences between countries that limit the generalizability of the study results, it is recommended to conduct another study in Western culture to determine their applicability.
