Zusammenfassung: Zwischen 1991 und 1995 wurden die langfristigen Effekte der SIMA-Trainings auf den psychomotorischen Status der Teilnehmer (1991 N = 87) im Alter zwischen 75 und 89 Jahren (mittleres Alter 79.2 Jahre) untersucht. Der psychomotorische Status wurde aus den Leistungen in insgesamt sieben verschiedenen Funktionsbereichen aggregiert. Die Auswertung erfolgte mit der Stichprobe jeweils aller zu einem Zeitpunkt untersuchten Teilnehmer und mit der Stichprobe der 1995 verbliebenen Teilnehmer. Ein kombiniertes Gedächtnis- und Psychomotoriktrainingsprogramm zeigte vor allem kurzfristig bedeutsame Effekte auf den psychomotorischen Status, insbesondere die Umstellungs- und Rhythmisierungsfähigkeit. Langfristig zeigte sich in allen Treatmentgruppen und der Kontrollgruppe ein sinkender psychomotorischer Status. Die Ergebnisse lassen vermuten, daß die Kombination aus einer psychomotorischen Aktivierung und einem Gedächtnistraining zumindest kurzfristig verschiedene psychomotorische Funktionsbereiche der über 75jährigen Teilnehmer fördern und damit auch einen positiven Teilbeitrag zum Erhalt der Selbständigkeit und der Lebensqualität der Teilnehmer leisten konnte.
