La investigación se enfoca en analizar la incidencia de la lectura en el proceso de aprendizaje de los estudiantes del Departamento de Tecnología Educativa de la UNAN-Managua. Esta investigación surgió al notar que los estudiantes hacen pocas consultas en libros sean digitales o impresos, asimismo, se observó que la lectura es baja en los estudiantes del departamento, por tanto, se procedió a realizar el estudio con una población entre docentes y estudiantes de aproximadamente 170 participantes. Para ello se construyó un marco teórico donde se abarca los tipos de lecturas y los hábitos lectura que servirían luego para el análisis y discusión, la investigación es de tipo descriptiva con un enfoque cualitativo, a pesar que se usan instrumentos cuantitativos se hace un análisis detallado y a profundidad para tener más claro el porqué del fenómeno. Del proceso de análisis se obtuvo que los estudiantes hacen una lectura superficial y fragmentada como estrategia de aprendizaje, que no invierten en comprar libros en su mayoría los descargan de Internet. En sus tiempos libres prefieren pasar con sus amigos o dormir que leer, a pesar que los docentes proponen estrategias para el desarrollo de la compresión lectora y fomentar la lectura, los estudiantes hacen lecturas fragmentadas poco profundas, enfocadas más a las secuencias de pasos, sin embargo, han desarrollado la habilidad de extraer ideas principales, de construir conocimiento de diferentes fuentes, tiene la capacidad de discriminar información en periodos cortos de tiempo.
El estudio se enfoca en los elementos motivacionales y psicopedagógicos de materiales educativos digitales para el autoaprendizaje en modalidad virtual, la investigación se realizó en el Departamento Tecnología Educativa de la UNAN-Managua (DTE UNAN-Managua), tomando como escenario los cursos de pregrado y posgrado. Para llevar a cabo la investigación se construyó un marco teórico donde se abordaron aspectos tales como: teorías de enseñanza y aprendizaje, las estrategias de enseñanza y aprendizaje en entornos virtuales, autorregulación, motivación y plataformas virtuales, diseños de recursos educativos digitales, culminando con el modelo ARCS (Atención, Relevancia, Confianza y Satisfacción). El diseño metodológico tiene un enfoque cualitativo de tipo fenomenológico, ya que era necesario analizar la opinión de los informantes claves, para ello se emplearon instrumentos como entrevistas a directivos, cuestionarios abiertos a docentes y estudiantes y la observación directa de cursos virtuales, específicamente en los materiales educativos digitales. Del proceso de análisis y discusión de resultados se obtuvo que los docentes son especialistas en las distintas disciplinas, pero, no existe una distinción entre el rol docente y tutor virtual. Con respecto a los materiales educativos digitales se identificó que el diseño no incluye algunos aspectos motivacionales y psicopedagógico, ya que los docentes no tienen claros estos aspectos. Se evidenció que hay algunas fortalezas que deben mantenerse en la praxis, además se hizo una propuesta de acciones para las debilidades encontradas, basado en el modelo ARCS.
El presente artículo se realiza a partir de la indagación en varios estudios de investigación en: China, México, España y Reino Unido fundamentalmente. Los resultados de dichos escritos apuntan a los efectos causados por la Covid-19 desde varias esferas psicosociales que conducen a efectos negativos que se manifiestan en ansiedad, depresión, estrés y miedo desde los jóvenes hasta los adultos mayores. Según varios expertos los problemas de salud mental y emocional no se han abordado, con el rigor que merecen, como temas de importancia en el proceso de cambio o adaptación en los ambientes de aprendizaje. Considerando nuestra esfera de actuación profesional nos centramos en un abordaje de cómo la pandemia ha afectado psicosocialmente a los estudiantes universitarios y las posibles consecuencias que puedan generarse, tanto desde el presente en su vida personal como en el futuro en su vida laboral se realizan acciones que pueden contribuir a sobrellevar los efectos psicosociales desde los ambientes de aprendizaje, sean presenciales, virtuales o mixtos en la búsqueda de evitar la deserción de los estudiantes universitarios.
