werden. In diesem Beitrag wird iiber Versuche berichtet, bei denen Gemische von Alkanen mit 9 bis 12 C-Atomen eingesetzt wurden.
Auswahl der AlkaneAls Reaktanden wurden die Stoffpaare n-Decan/n-Dodecan (jeweils 50 Mengen-Y) und 2-Methyloctan/n-Dodecan (4:96 Mengen-Yo) gewahlt. Die Experimente mit den n-Alkanen unterschiedlicher Kettenlange im 1:l-Gemisch zielten vor allem darauf ab, Auswirkungen der mutmaBlich wirksamen konkurrierenden Sorption zu erfassen. Von Interesse war also, wie sich die Anwesenheit von n-Dodecan auf die Reaktionsgeschwindigkeit von n-Dean -und umgekehrt -auswirkt. Zum Vergleich wurden daher auch Versuche mit den beiden reinen n-Alkanen durchgefiihrt. DaB speziell die n-Alkane mit 10 und 12 C-Atomen eingesetzt wurden, hat folgende Griinde: 1) Dieser Bereich der Kettenlange bietet einen verniinftigen KompromiB zwischen Analysenaufwand und Informationsreichtum, wie schon in den friiheren Untersuchungen mit Einzelsubstanzen erkannt worden war. 2) Ein Unterschied von gerade zwei C-Atomen in den Reaktanden ist besonders giinstig. Dies hangt damit zusammen, daB beim kationischen Hydrocracken weder C,-noch Cz-Bruchstucke entstehen; aus ClzHz6 bilden sich also auch keine Cll-und Clo-Produkte, so daB die Isomerisierung von n-Dean ohne Verfalschung durch Crackprodukte aus n-Dodecan untersucht werden kann. Den Versuchen mit dem 2-Methyloctan/n-Dodecan-Gemisch liegt folgende Fragestellung zugrunde: Das Hydrocracken von ClzHz6 ergibt i-und n-Alkane mit 3 bis 9 C-Atomen.
