The covid-19 pandemic has reprimanded man with various complex phenomena that have never happened before, both in the fields of health, social, cultural, and economical. In the field of economics, especially the micro, small, and medium sector business actors are mostly paralyzed and on the verge of bankruptcy. This study considers it necessary to examine several aspects of business management, especially MSMEs’ ways of maintaining their business during and after the pandemic. This study aims to examine and analyze the urgency of implementing Islamic business management which can be used as an illustration and guide for business actors. This study uses a descriptive-qualitative approach. The data used is secondary data, referred to as a literature study. The data analysis technique in this study uses three paths, reduction, presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results show that Islamic Business Ethics and Islamic business management are mandatory for business actors so that businesses can run even in the midst of difficult situations. The principles in Islamic business ethics are balance (fairness), free will, responsibility, and truth, while Islamic business management is marketing management, human resource management, and financial management. The results of the study imply that businesses that are run based on Islamic business management principles have the ability to survive and can maintain business continuity. The implementation of ethics and business management within the Islamic framework is very important to be realized by MSMEs actors through their business activities or operations.
Rapid industrialisation and economic growth among the emerging E-7 economic countries (China, India, Indonesia, Brazil, Mexico, Russia, and Turkey) negatively degrade the environment in the region. Therefore, this study investigates the relationship between financial development and environmental degradation to promote low-carbon transition. The methodology of data collection techniques employed is the generalised method of moments (GMM) using a one-step and two-step approach, and a seemingly unrelated regression (SUR) test is used to obtain the study objectives. The empirical outcomes unveiled that fiscal decentralisation and financial inclusion favourably moderate the impact of total carbon emission (TCE) and carbon emission per capita on energy (CEPE) intensity. Ecological quality degrades by increasing financial development; however, human capital and institutional quality reduce environmental degradation. The causality analysis suggested that any policy related to economic growth, human capital, and institutional quality will affect the environment. Additionally, an institution’s quality reduces the negative ecological impacts caused by financial development. In conclusion, emerging economies should promote environmental sustainability by fostering human capital and effectively using financial resources. Also, economic growth in E-7 countries is responsible for reducing carbon emissions; therefore, E-7 governments should prioritise research into low-carbon technology and renewable energy sources, and the financial sector must play its role to give more capital that prioritises environmentally conscious enterprises and encourages strategies that minimise environmental impact.
Urbanisation, rural development, climate change, and population growth have significant environmental impacts on sustainability and survival, particularly in rural areas of Indonesia. To slow down the process of urbanisation in these regions, it is essential to promote environmental education among the youth, encouraging them to prioritise rural development and sustainable practices. This study presents a research framework that examines the mapping of environmental education on young preferences for rural development and its impact on reducing urbanisation. Using a knowledge-based approach, the study employs regression and bootstrap analysis on data collected from 227 Indonesian and Malaysian provinces. The results show that ecologically friendly education among executives promotes environmental concerns and managerial practices, mediating the relationship between environmental education and urbanisation. Additionally, understanding these interactions positively moderates the influence of organizational ecological problems. Overall, this study highlights the importance of environmental education in promoting rural development and reducing urbanisation, which is crucial for sustainable development.
