Thespectroscopic and nonlinearproperties of wheat germ oil have been investigated. Two different sources of oil (weight 3.33gm),locally (Emad) and global (Hemani) were used in this work. Theabsorption and fluorescence spectra of the two types of oil were carried out to calculate thequantum efficiencyof them. Nonlinear characteristics were measured by z-scan. The results showed that high quantum efficiency (91.5 for the local oil and 76.6 for the other) As for the non-linear properties, it was measured for wheat germ oil (Emad) by scanning technology (by changing the value of the closed hole (pin hole), the value of (n2) the non-linear refractive index changes with the size of the aperture (1, 1.5, 2, 2.5) mm.
Samarium ions doped TiO2 nanoparticles were prepared successfully via Sol-Gel Technique with varying conditions. Effects of Sm3+ doping concentrations on the optical properties in the mid-infrared region was studied. FTIR spectra for pure and doped samples after annealing process show a single transition peak at wave number around 1109 cm-1 and 1116 cm-1 respectively, the wave number of the single transition peak depends on the Sm+3 doping ratio. By Comparing with wavelength of the high transition ratio of the pure TiO2 sample, slightly decries shift on the peak wavelength occur with an increment of doping concentration ratio. The FTIR spectrum gives a good indication the direction of synthesis of optical band-pass filter at a wavelength around 8.964µm (~1116 Cm-1).
In this paper, some linear optical properties such as (absorbance and transmittance) of an organic dye (Calcein -W) in Methanol and Epoxy resin with different concentration were studied by using UV/VIS spectrum.
Nonlinear optical properties of Calcein –W anesthetized in epoxy resin matrix using different concentrations (5*10−5, 1*10−4, 5*10−4, 1*10−3 mol/l) at ambient temperature were studied by using open and closed aperture of Z-scan technique, with continuous wave from Neodymium-doped Yttrium Garnet (Nd: YAG (CW)) laser beams of 532 nm wavelength as an excitation source. The “nonlinear refractive index” (n2), “nonlinear absorption coefficient” (β) of Calcein –W doped film is experimentally determined.
Doped and undoped nano particular silicate dioxide was prepared via sol-gel method under varying conditions. The optical properties of prepared samples were investigated by a variety of techniques, including X-ray diffraction, UV-Visible spectroscopy, FTIR spectroscopy and fluorescence spectroscopy. The peak of the fluorescence spectrum was recorded at the wavelength around to 1048nm, which it is close to known fluorescence peaks of Nd:YAG crystal in NIR region. A Judd-Ofelt analysis is performed to calculate the spectroscopic properties of Nd 3+ ions embedded in SiO 2 and compare it with spectroscopic properties of Nd:YAG crystal. The conclusions behind this study show that the doped silicate samples have a high peak emission cross-section σ p , which gives an acceptable indication in the direction of using Sol-Gel technique to prepare Nd:SiO 2 as a solid state laser active medium.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
