The purpose of this study is to compare the capacity of students to write Makassar Lontara script before and after utilizing the letter card medium. This investigation used three steps: pre-test, therapy, and post-test. This study included fifty public Yunior High School students in the Makassar city, South Sulawesi, Indonesia. Participatory observation, testing, and interviews were employed to obtain data for this study. Data description, average similarity test, and analysis requirement test are among the data analysis approaches employed. The findings revealed that learning through the medium of letter cards was more successful. The post-test analysis demonstrates the usefulness of using the letter card medium. Using Makassar Lontara's letter card medium, the level of achievement is higher than the pre-test result. Furthermore, when employing letter card media in the learning process, pupils are more active than when not using the media. Teachers of local content subjects are encouraged to use learning methods and enjoyable media for students to achieve more effective learning. The Makassar Lontara' letter card media is one of the methods employed. Because the media can contribute significantly to both the learning process and the desired outcomes, it is intended that by using the Makassar Lontara' letter card learning media, students will be more interested in and motivated to study local content themes that have previously been intimidating to them. Further research is needed to increase the quality of learning, and it is hoped that future researchers will address any flaws found in this study.
Food security will remain a fundamental problem in meeting the basic needs of the community, not only in rural areas but also in urban areas. Tarakan City is a city located in North Kalimantan and has a population density that causes limited availability of land for agriculture. One solution to overcome this is hydroponic cultivation to support food self-sufficiency in border areas. This study aims to identify and examine through an agribusiness system approach including input subsystems, farming/cultivation, processing, marketing and hydroponic business support services. The research method used is descriptive qualitative through agribusiness systems approach. The method of determining the sample is purposive sampling. The results of this study indicate that hydroponic vegetable farming in Tarakan City that the upstream subsystem includes production facilities and infrastructure such as screenhouses, seeds, nutrition, and agricultural machinery. On Farm subsystem covers an area of 10 x 15 m2 with a total income of Rp.1,373,000, per production. The downstream subsystem includes processing products such as sorting and packing and using a marketing mix approach consisting of two marketing channels. The supporting subsystem consists of government institutions, namely the Food and Agriculture Service, the Industry, Trade and SMEs Service, as well as a private institution, namely PT. Medco. The purpose of this study was to explain the effectiveness of writing Lontara’ alphabet Makassar via letters card media in Class VII SMPN 1 Pallangga, Gowa district. This research used quantitative method. The steps was taken, namely (1) The initial test (pre-test) or measurement prior to treatment, (2) the implementation of the action (treatment), and (3) the measurement that was done after post- test. The object of this study was the students of Class VII students in SMP Negeri 1 Pallangga, while the selected students as sample were students of class VII-18 woth total 50 students. Data collection techniques used were participatory observation, test, and interviews. Data analysis techniques used include data description, the average similarity test, and requirements analysis test. The results show that learning by using letters card media is very effective. It can be seen from the results of post-test analysis which shows higher level of achievement by using a lontara’ alphabet Makassar letters card media compared to the pre-test. In addition, in learning process the students are more active by using the letter card media compared to not using these media. While other factors that influence the effectiveness of learning can be affected by three factors, they are motivation, educational qualifications of teachers, and the environment.
