Teams are in the mid of a renaissance. Particularly in today's business environments, characterized by globalization, technological progress and intense competition, the virtual teams-as the work groups with members at different locations, using computer based communication and sharing inputs and other individual efforts through technology-are increasingly becoming prevalent. However there is still a gap in the literature concerning the performance and success of virtual teams. In this study, the interrelationships among leadership, team learning and team performance is theoretically and empirically investigated within the context of virtual teams. After a deep literature review a survey is conducted on 101 teams. The data is analyzed via PLS 3.0 statistical program. The path analyzes results show reveals the important role of leadership on team learning for virtual teams. Moreover the findings underline the vital role of team learning on team success and performance for virtual teams just like for the traditional teams.
This study has been conducted to find out the impacts of high school students' intentions in the use of social media and their adoption level of social media on their success. The survey, comprised of the scale used to analyze the purposes of use of social media, scale of social media adoption and the scale used to measure impact of social media on education, was applied on 1167 students from many schools who volunteered to participate in the districts of Pendik and Kartal in Istanbul. The data collected from the survey were analyzed in electronic environment thanks to SPSS 17.0 statistic package software. In case of comparison of two quantitative data, t-test was used to find out the difference between two groups, One-way Anova Test was used in the comparison of parameters in more than two groups and Tukey Post Hoc Test was used to spot the group causing the discrepancy. The relationship between dependent and independent variants was tested by using Pearson correlation; on the other hand the influence was tested with the use of regression analysis test. The results have read out that high school students' intentions in the use of social media and their adoption level of social media have a wide variety of impacts on their success. When social media is used for learning, it makes contributions to improve the students' year-end and foreign languages marks; when it is used to socialize with the others, it has adverse effect on the students' success. On the other hand it has been proved that when it is used for learning, it helps the students improve their success.
The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between professional values and organizational citizenship behavior levels of nurses working at different levels in health institutions. The study was conducted with convenience sampling method to 340 executive nurses and nurses whose working in 3 different clinics and polyclinics which is affiliated to Ministry of Health in Istanbul. The data was obtained with permission of the facilities and the scale of Nurses' Professional Values and Organizational Citizenship was conducted to data collection. The data were analyzed using SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) for Windows 21.0 program. Descriptive statistical methods were used. Ttest, one-way ANOVA, The Tukey Post Hoc, Anova test, Pearson correlation and regression analysis was used..The results of this study shows that the mean rank of the professional values of nurses general organizational citizenship behavior was found high. There was statistically significant relationship was found between the general professional value level and the level of general organizational citizenship behavior of the nurses participating in this study. Regression analysis was used to determine the effect between general professional value and general organizational citizenship behavior. As a determinant of the level of general organizational citizenship behavior level, it was found that the effect of general professional value level variables (explanatory power) was strong. When level of responsibility, level of mobility and level of security of nurses increase the level of general organizational citizenship behavior increase. Organizational citizenship behaviors were also found to be significantly associated with the duration of the title work in the hospital. With establishing safe environments, responsive attitudes and behaviors to be provided to employees in health institutions, creating opportunities to use initiative, it would be important factors for nurses behaviors expected from them.
ÖzBu çalışmada okul öncesi öğretmenlerinin algılarına göre, dönüşümcü liderlik, örgütsel adalet ve iş tatmini arasındaki ilişkilerin belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu kapsamda Đstanbul Kartal Đlçesinde görev yapan 216 okul öncesi öğretmen üzerinde anket uygulanmıştır. Elde edilen veriler faktör analizi, tanımlayıcı istatistikler, korelasyon ve regresyon analizi ile test edilmiştir. Araştırmada sonuç olarak, örgütsel adaletin öğretmenlerin iş tatmini düzeylerini olumlu olarak etkilediği ortaya çıkmıştır. AbstractAccording to this study, it is aimed to determine the relationship between job satisfaction, transformational leadership, Organizational justice of preschool teachers' perceptions. In this context, a questionnaire was applied on 216 pre-school teachers working in Đstanbul Kartal District. Obtained data was tested with factor analysis, descriptive statistics and correlation and regression analysis. In this study as a result, organizational justice has been revealed that a positive effect on levels of teachers' job satisfaction. At the same time, it was determined that the dimensions of transformational leadership have a positive impact on teachers' job satisfaction.
