Theory of Planned Behaviour (TPB) has become a prominent theory in describing the relationship between attitude and behaviour. TPB utilizes attitudes, subjective norms and perceived behavioural control to predict-intention. Studies of similar topics concentrating on non-Muslim consumers as respondents particularly exploring in their repurchase intention on Halal food are uncommon. Therefore, this study attempts to demonstrate the TPB in exploring the non-Muslim consumer repurchase intention of halal food products. Data were collected through a self-administered questionnaire survey of 415 non-Muslim consumers in Malaysia. The result of Structural Equation Analyses indicate that non-Muslim consumers' attitude, subjective norm, and perceived behavioural control toward halal food product positively influenced their intention to repurchase halal food. The conclusions and several recommendations for future research consideration are presented in the final section.
Bantar Kulon is one of the villages in the Lebakbarang District, Pekalongan Regency, which is geographically located in a mountainous area called the North Serayu Mountains and is designated as a Regional Tourism Development Area (KPPD) with an eco-tourism image based on the Regional Tourism Development Master Plan (RIPPARDA) document of Pekalongan Regency in 2018-2025. Bantar Kulon Village has very supportive potential for ecotourism development. However, in order to accomplish the goal of transforming Bantar Kulon into an ecotourism destination, the potential already present needs to be combined with effective community engagement management. This paper aims to study the effectiveness of educational programs based on a religio-cultural approach in an effort to turn Bantar Kulon Village into an eco-tourism village. This study uses a descriptive qualitative research approach. The residents of Bantar Kulon Village can really be encouraged to take a more active role in efforts to promote ecotourism by using some education that takes a religio-cultural approach.
This paper proposes an attempt to set out a conceptual framework for the application of Oliva Model in logistics curriculum at Malaysian higher education institutions. The need for a conceptual framework was due to the lacking of literatures pertaining to Oliva Model in Malaysian logistics education; and thus requires future empirical studies. Two main issues are tackled: Oliva Model as a curriculum theory, and the need to study this Model on logistics curriculum. In this context, the paper elaborates the Oliva Model as a theoretical foundation for curriculum development in logistics programs. The designing and evaluating components in the Model are expected to provide logistics students with optimum knowledge both in logistics as well as non-logistics.
