The radial head fracture combined with the dislocation of the distal radioulnar (RU) joint which is called Essex-Lopresti injury is very rare. We report one case of this injury. A twenty-four years old man fell down on his right palm in a motorcycle accident. He visited his local G.P. and the fracture of the radial head and dislocation of the distal RU joint was pointed out. Two days after injury, resection of the radial head was carried out but a reduction of the distal RU joint was impossible.
