Anahtar Kelimeler: Cimnastik, Germe, Germe süresi, Performans THE EFFECTS OF DIFFERENT STRETCHING DURATIONS ON PERFORMANCE IN ARTISTIC GYMNAST ABSTRACTThis study was done to determine the effects of different durations of stretching on performance and to determine the appropriate stretching durations by confirming the effect of negative or positive stretching performance. It was included in 11 gymnasts whose mean age was 11.81±1.4 years in the study. All subjects were applied, in not consecutive days, static stretching with 15 seconds, 10 repetitions and 30 seconds, 5 repetitions. Pre and post stretching exercises, their performance and flexibility were evaluated by vertical jump test, sit and reach test respectively. We found a significant increase in flexibility tests on 15 seconds, 10 repetitions stretching (p<0.05). There were no significant differences in vertical jump test pre and post exercise (p>0.05). As a conclusion 15 seconds, 10 repetitions stretching and 30 seconds, 5 repetitions stretching did not have positive or negative effects on vertical jump performance.
People are expected to carry out certain roles and duties throughout their lives in a society. The inability of people to carry out their roles and duties in a society due to various factors is defined as “disability.” Considering that there are 1,559,222 disabled individuals in our country, the rate holds an important place within the general population. Each individual is either disabled, has a disabled relative or a candidate for disability. Thus it is necessary to provide suitable conditions to enable disabled individuals live in concert with the society. This study is conducted in order to determine the level of influence of a 28-hour sport and game activity each week, for 14 weeks, on autistic individuals who have weak socializing and communications skills. This research is conducted on 2 male autistic children of a volunteer family during the fall semester of 2014-2015 academic year; this research also includes preliminary test and proof positive through face to face interview with the family. Descriptive analysis and content analysis are used in data analysis. All of the procedures are carried out by qualitative analysis program NVIVO 10. The names of disabled individuals who attended the research are undisclosed. In the end of this research, the statements released during the interviews show that physical education and game activities have an important influence on the development of disabled individuals. In this respect, the statements given at the end of the research are presented as Emotions and Thoughts of the Mother and Emotions and Behaviors of the Children.
Her spor dalına hitap eden hareket eğitimi niteliğindeki diğer branş çalışmaları, çocuğun spor dalına özgü hareket evresinde seçmesi gerektiği spor branşında başarılı olmasını sağlayacaktır. Anahtar kelimeler: Motor Gelişim, Çocuk, Spor SportS and Children With regard to their Motor developMent AbstractWhile the physical education is the whole of movements done for the development of the physical and mental health of the individual body, sports include the development of the bodily and mental health of the individual, as well as struggle, competition and winning within competitive standards according to certain rules. In sports, body is subject to wear and tear. For this reason, before one is engaged in sports, it is necessary to take into consideration the age, the motor development stages and the state of readiness of the individuals, especially of children. The most important point to note during this period is that children must be trained in a multi-directional manner and without being pressured. These workouts should include "music" and "painting" instructions. Other branch trainings in the form of movement training addressing each sports branch will ensure that the children will be successful in the branch they should choose in the sport-specific movement context.
