Este artigo tem por objetivo descrever traços de natureza não manual como propriedades de eventualidades na Língua Brasileira de Sinais – Libras. Partindo das noções sobre o aspecto e as classes acionais (VENDLER, 1957; COMRIE, 1976; SMITH, 1991) admitimos que a co-ocorrência de atividades da face inferior (boca, bochechas e queixo) com a articulação manual exprime a natureza do esquema temporal do predicado. O arcabouço teórico é a Morfologia Distribuída (HALLE; MARANTZ, 1993), tendo como premissa que as eventualidades e os subeventos que as compõem devem ser codificados na sintaxe. A partir de amostras de sinalização natural de três informantes surdos adultos, investigamos os traços instantâneo/durativo e télico/atélico. Os resultados obtidos são: a) traço [+ contínuo] caracteriza eventualidades durativas; b) traço [+ pontual] caracteriza eventualidades télicas. Espera-se contribuir com a descrição de traços fonológicos compatíveis com a modalidade visual-espacial.
Este artigo apresenta um recorte das produções lexicográficas e terminográficas da Língua Brasileira de Sinais – Libras, emergentes no contexto acadêmico brasileiro, e os principais processos morfológicos envolvidos na expansão lexical de uma língua sinalizada. Tais processos e produtos refletem a ocorrência de neologismos coletados em espaços universitários que resultou no registro dessas novas unidades sinalizadas. Este trabalho fundamenta-se em estudos que contemplam o fenômeno da produtividade lexical com ênfase nos processos neológicos verificáveis em línguas de sinais. Apresentamos os aspectos lexicais envolvidos na formação de sinais em línguas de modalidade distinta da oral, sob o viés da Morfologia Distribuída (HALLE; MARANTZ, 1993) e os produtos lexicográficos e terminográficos produzidos em Libras na última década, e a sua importância no contexto universitário brasileiro (FARIA-NASCIMENTO, 2009; CASTRO JÚNIOR, 2014; COSTA, 2012; OLIVEIRA, 2015). Os produtos e processos observados atestam que essas línguas são plenas e vivas, ampliam-se naturalmente a fim de atender a novas necessidades comunicativas e expressivas de seus sinalizantes, a exemplo de qualquer outra língua. Pretendeu-se, com este trabalho, oferecer subsídios para a compreensão da estrutura e do funcionamento de línguas de sinais e, sob perspectiva mais abrangente, de línguas naturais.
O objetivo desse trabalho foi descrever e operacionalizar a organização de uma ação extensionista sobre educação especial e inclusiva, cuja demanda emergiu a partir do diálogo com a comunidade escolar, bem como das lacunas identificadas literatura acerca de formação continuada e permanente de professores para atuação em uma perspectiva inclusiva, por meio do arcabouço teórico reflexivo. A ação extensionista, por meio de um evento que ocorreu em dois períodos, visou um primeiro momento com a discussão de conceitos teóricos, em uma mesa-redonda e, no outro período apresentação de práticas pedagógicas dos universitários que cursaram a disciplina de Educação Inclusiva, assim como dos professores da rede municipal e estadual de ensino. O procedimento metodológico foi organizado em três etapas, envolvendo a caracterização da realidade educacional do município-alvo em relação à inclusão, para posteriormente definir a ação extensionista e, por último, analisar os resultados obtidos com a ação. Os resultados foram discutidos em relação às principais características dos participantes inscritos, temas discutidos no momento da mesa-redonda e temas discutidos no momento das apresentações de trabalhos. Espera-se que o evento tenha contribuído com a disseminação de práticas inclusivas no âmbito da educação básica ao superior, por meio do envolvimento de professores da rede municipal e estadual, comunidade interna e externa da universidade.
A morfologia tem por objeto de estudo a estrutura, formação e categorização de unidades lexicais e apresenta diferentes perspectivas de análise. Sob o aporte gerativista, o componente lexical dispõe de palavras previamente categorizadas e traços que são o input para a sintaxe (CHOMKSY, 1970). Em Halle e Marantz (1993), a morfologia não existe per se, mas está distribuída em diferentes lugares da arquitetura da gramática e deve espelhar as operações sintáticas. A partir desse viés, assumimos que a formação de sinais e estruturas complexas se dá em um único locus gerativo, o componente sintático.Assim, coloca-se que em uma língua não oral, a Libras, raízes acategoriais são concatenadas a traços abstratos, por meio de regras de inserção de conteúdo fonológico, para se formarem os sinais. Neste artigo, evidenciamos pares nome-verbo que apresentam uma mesma forma superficial e são diferenciadossintaticamente por um v ou por um n categorizador, com realização fonológica Ø ou com realização específica em alguns membros dos pares. Essa proposta corrobora o Princípio da Uniformidade (CHOMSKY, 2001), pois, na ausência de fortes evidências que apontem para o contrário, reforçamos que as línguas são uniformes e as variações são restritas a propriedades facilmente identificáveis dos enunciados.
Este artigo descreve a criação de um glossário bilíngue, Língua portuguesa (LP) e Língua Brasileira de Sinais (LIBRAS), de componentes da construção metálica como material didático para alunos que apresentam deficiência auditiva. A investigação objetivou a inclusão de alunos Surdos na Educação Profissional e Tecnológica (EPT). Para isso, a pesquisa foi desenvolvida em um campus do Instituto Federal de Minas Gerais (IFMG), a partir de uma demanda durante as aulas de Tecnologia das Construções, uma vez que o vocabulário do conteúdo é inexistente em LIBRAS Língua Brasileira de Sinais. A metodologia utilizada envolve levantamento de vocábulos e construção de produto educacional no formato de um glossário em LIBRAS, a partir das aulas práticas e investigação dos elementos que constituem as maquetes de drywall e o steel frame. O produto final obtido foi um glossário com os termos técnicos da construção civil utilizando vídeos explicativos de cada elemento estudado. Espera-se que o material didático por ser utilizado em outros contextos educativos.
