Using the Coulomb correction to the screening angular parameter of the Molière multiple scattering theory, we obtained analytically and numerically the Coulomb corrections to the parameters of the Migdal LPM effect theory. We showed that these corrections allow to eliminate the discrepancy between the predictions of the LPM effect theory and its measurement at least for high Z targets and also to further improve the agreement between the predictions of the LPM effect theory analogue for a thin layer of matter and experimental data. The final state interaction of pions in K e4 decay allows to obtain the value of the isospin and angular momentum zero ππ scattering length a 0 0 . We take into account the electromagnetic interaction of pions and isospin symmetry breaking effects caused by different masses of neutral and charged pions and estimate the impact of these effects on the procedure of scattering length extraction from K e4 decays. * On leave of absence from Yerevan Physics Institute † On leave of absence from Siberian Physical Technical Institute
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
