1996 thio compounds thio compounds (acyclic compounds) P 0440 47 -073 Novel Reduction of Isothiocyanates to Thioformamides with SmI2 and tert-Butyl Alcohol in the Presence of HMPA. -In comparison to other methods the title reaction gives directly N-monosubstituted thioformamides such as (II) from the isothiocyanates in excellent yields.
