Zusammenfassung Myofasziale Triggerpunkte sind h?ufig f?r Schmerzen und Dysfunktionen im Bewegungsapparat verantwortlich. Sie stellen ein in der Bev?lkerung sowie der t?glichen Praxis von Physiotherapeuten weit verbreitetes Ph?nomen dar. Ziel der Studie war es, die Intertester-Reliabilit?t der Palpation myofaszialer Triggerpunkte im M. vastus medialis obliquus zu untersuchen. Insgesamt nahmen 27 Probanden an der Untersuchung teil. Die Ergebnisse zeigen eine sehr gute Reliabilit?t der ?Pain Recognition?, gefolgt von ?Referred Pain?, ?Tender Spot?, ?Taut Band? und ?Local Twitch Response?. Daraus resultiert eine sehr gute ?bereinstimmung f?r ?aktive Triggerpunkte? und eine moderate ?bereinstimmung f?r ?latente Triggerpunkte?.
Zusammenfassung Ziel Vergleich des Effekts einer Behandlung mit Sustained Natural Apophyseal Glides (SNAG) nach Mulligan und passiven Gelenkmobilisationen (PGM) nach Maitland mit einer Placebo-Gruppe bei einem Follow-up von 12 Monaten bei Patienten mit zervikogenem Schwindel. Hintergrund Schwindel stellt ein weit verbreitetes Phä-nomen dar, welches häufig mit starken Einschränkungen im Alltag einhergeht. Bei einem erheblichen Anteil des aufkommenden Schwindels soll die HWS eine Rolle spielen. Die Evidenzlage zur Wirkung von Manueller Therapie bei zervikogenem Schwindel bezüglich ihres Langzeiteffektes ist noch dürftig. Methode Die Rekrutierung der Probanden für die randomisierte kontrollierte Studie erfolgte über Zeitungsannoncen, Hausärzte und Neurologen. Die spezifizierten Einschlusskriterien umfassten (1) durch HWS-Bewegungen auslös-barer Schwankschwindel für länger als 3 Monate bzw. länger als 3 Monate dauernder Schwankschwindel und Nackenschmerzen oder -steifigkeit in der Vorgeschichte, (2) Alter zwischen 18 und 90 Jahren und (3) englischsprachig. Ausschlusskriterien waren (1) andere Formen von Schwindel wie Drehschwindel (z. B. benigner paroxysmaler Lagerungsschwindel, BPLS), psychogener Schwindel, vertebrobasiläre Insuffizienz (VBI), kardiovaskulärer Schwindel, (2) Erkrankungen wie Migräne, Rückenmarksstörungen, Schlaganfall, Parkinson, (3) Schwangerschaft, (4) Bezug von Ersatzleistungen und (5) Kontraindikationen für Manuelle Therapie. Ein 3-Schritte-Programm diente zur Überprüfung der Ein-und Ausschlusskriterien.
