Investigations on the branching of chain molecules. X I X . Preparation and characterization of long-chain branched model polyethyleneVinylchloride was grafted onto low-density polyethylene (PE-ND). The graft copolymer was characterized by light scattering. Dehalogenating dehydration resulted in polyethylene containing a defined higher number of long-chain branches than the backbone polyethylene of the graft copolymer. The intrinsic viscosity of the model polyethylene was determined a t various values of molecular weight and contraction factors are calculated.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
