Цель исследования: сравнительное изучение отношения к здоровью и медицинской активности пациентов-мужчин и женщин с дорсопатиями. Материалы и методы. Написание настоящей статьи основано на материалах социологического 439 пациентов-мужчин (51,1%) и женщин (48,9%), средний возраст 44,1±13,9 и 46,1±16,2 лет соответственно), проходивших стационарное лечение и реабилитацию в Республиканской больнице восстановительного лечения г. Махачкала. При проведении математической обработки использовались методы вариационной статистики. Результаты. Установлено, что женщины оценивают свое здоровье ниже, чем мужчины. При этом и мужчины, и женщины чаще всего на первое место по значимости ставили здоровье. При проведении анкетирования было выявлено, что менее половины респондентов регулярно наблюдаются у врача по поводу имеющихся у них хронических заболеваний. Выявлены гендерные различия в частоте посещения врача по поводу хронических заболеваний. Установлено, что мужчинам достоверно чаще, чем женщинам мешают в полном объеме выполнять назначения врача занятость на работе, отсутствие желания и наличие вредных привычек. Согласно полученным данным, самолечением занималась половина респондентов. Выводы. Женщины склонны оценивать свое здоровье ниже, чем мужчины. В результате опроса было установлено достоверное гендерное различие мнения о влиянии на формирование здоровья такого фактора как социальная стабильность и уверенность. Значительно большее значение придавали этому фактору мужчины-в 17,5% против 4,7% случаев (p<0,05). При проведении анкетирования было установлено, что только 44,3% респондентов регулярно наблюдаются у врача по поводу имеющихся у них хронических заболеваний. Выявлены гендерные различия в частоте посещения врача по поводу хронических заболеваний: совсем не обращаются к специалисту 26,2% представителей мужского пола и 18,7% женского.
