The new compound Ba3Si4P6 crystallizes in the monoclinic system, space group P21/m(No.11) with the lattice constants a = 1153.7(3) pm, b = 728.1(2) pm, c=752.7(2) pm, β = 99.41(5)°. Si4P5 cages are connected by Si chains and P bridges to corrugated two-dimensional nets between which the Ba ions are located. The compound is a Zintl phase and therefore belongs to the valence compounds.
Abstract The new compound Ba2Sb3 crystallizes in the monoclinic system, space group P21/c (No. 14) with the lattice constants a = 693.4(3) pm, b = 1345.3(6) pm, c = 1581.7(6) pm, β = 90.25(15)°. The compound is isotypic to the Sr2Sb3 structure with discrete Sb68- chain anions
Zintl Phases with Isolated SiAs4 or GeAs4 Anions: Preparation and Structure of Ba4SiAs4, Ba4GeAs4, Sr4SiAs4, and Sr4GeAs4
The new compounds Ba4SiAs4, Ba4GeAs4, Sr4SiAs4, and Sr4GeAs4 have been prepared and their structures determined. They crystallize in the cubic system, P43n, with axes: data see “Inhaltsübersicht”. There are isolated SiAs
or GeAs
tetrahedra in the structures. The compounds can be interpreted as Zintl phases with complex anions.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
