IVANITSKII (e) Crystal field effects on inelastic neutron scattering, specific heat, and susceptibility are studied in PrCu,. From the neutron scattering experiment the following crystal field parameters are determined: Bi = 0.48 meV, B: = -8.5 x meV, and B: = 14 x meV. The ground level is a rl singlet. Using these BT the specific heat, the susceptibility, and the thermal conductivity of PrCu, are computed and compared with experimental result,s.
