The Fluorimetric Determination of Aliphatic and Alicyclic AminesAliphatic and alicyclic amines react with fluorescein chloride to rhodamin dyes, the yellow to orange fluorescence of which can be selectively stimulated by the green Hgline 646 nm in acidified alcoholic solution. Using a multiplier which is specially sensitive in the red spectral region, the intensity of fluorescence is measured at 605-610 nm.
