November 1958) Die Darstellung mono-, di-, tri-und tetrajodierter Phenox yfettsaureB durch Kondensation jodkrter Phenok mit geeigneten Halogenfettsaureestern oder durch Jodieren von Phenox yfettsauren mit JC1 wird beschrieben. Bessere Herstdlungsmethoden bekannter Jodphenole und die S ynthesen einiger di-, triund tetrajodierter Phenole werden angegeben. Zwei Versuehe zur Gewinnung der Tetrajod-m-aminobenme-saure fiihrten nur zu Diund Trijod-maminobenzoesaure.a-(2,4,6-Trijodphenoxy)-buttersiiur$) (I) gewinnt in letzter Zeit zunehmende Bedeutung als oral applizierbares Galle-Kontrastmittel. In Portsetzung friiherer Versuche*) SOU in der vorliegenden Publikation die Synthese jodierter Phenoxyfettsauren beschrieben werden, an denen Beziehungen zwischen Konstitution und der Eignung als KontrastmitteP) gesucht werden sollen.Mono-, di-und trijodierte Phenole lassen sich recht glatt mit a-Brombutteraiiuremethylester (11) naoh den ublichen Verfahrenl) z, 3, J, 6, kondensieren. VIAuch die Kondensation von %,3,4,5-Tetrajodphenol (VIII) und 2,3,4,6-Tetrajodphenol (IX) mit I1 schlug fehl. Die Verarbeitung von VIII ist wegen seiner Schwerloslichkeit sehr schwierig. Da sich IX mit Bromessigester (X) und VI glatt kondensieren liiDt, ist das Pehlschlagen der genannten Versuche mit IX offenbar: auf sterische Hinderung zuruckzufiihren. Die aus IX und VI bzw. X erhaltenen Ester lieljen sich nicht verseifen2).Die Jodierung von Phenoxyfettsiiuren, wie z. B. Phenoxyessigsiiure, a-Phenoxybuttersiiure und y-Phenoxybuttersiiure, mit JC1 in Eisessig bei 80 bis 100' fuhrt zu 2,4-Dijodphenoxyfettsauren.
