RESUMENLa presente investigación tiene como finalidad determinar los principales obstáculos epistemológicos que presentan los estudiantes que cursan diferentes semestres de Licenciatura en Biología de la Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas en torno al concepto fotosíntesis. Para ello, tomando como referente el enfoque cualitativo se realiza un cuestionario (constituido por cuatro preguntas generales y una parte que indica al estudiante hacer un dibujo) que se aplica a un grupo focal de 21 estudiantes, 13 de ellos de primer semestre y los 8 restantes, de diversos semestres que han cursado la asignatura fisiología vegetal. Con los resultados obtenidos se estableció un criterio de categorización de respuestas en los obstáculos escogidos por ser los más incidentes (conocimiento previo, general y verbal) y posteriormente se realiza una comparación entre los obstáculos de los estudiantes con diferente nivel de formación académica. Se evidencia que los estudiantes en semestres más avanzados, presentan enriquecimiento del lenguaje científico, lo cual se refleja en la menor incidencia del obstáculo verbal comparado con los estudiantes de primer semestre, así mismo, estos últimos presentan como obstáculo predominante el de tipo conocimiento previo. Es de resaltar que el obstáculo de conocimiento general se presenta en los dos grupos en una misma proporción. Se concluye que, si bien los obstáculos epistemológicos se presentan en los dos grupos de estudiantes y tienden a ser muy similares, en los estudiantes que ya han cursado la asignatura fisiología vegetal se evidencia un mayor enriquecimiento de tipo conceptual observado en el manejo de lenguaje científico.
Esta investigación determinó la calidad del agua proveniente de los tanques de abastecimiento de la Facultad de Ciencias y Educación (sedes Macarena A y B), pertenecientes a la Universidad Distrital. Se tomaron ocho puntos de muestreo en las dos sedes, siendo prioritarios los grifos de los baños y los tanques del agua. En el laboratorio, se empleó la técnica de filtración por membrana y el medio selectivo Agar Chromocult para la detección de presencia de coliformes fecales. Los resultados en los parámetros fisicoquímicos del agua presentaron niveles de pH entre 7.2 y 7.5; mientras que los nitratos, nitritos, fosfatos y amonio fueron de cero (0 ppm) y el oxígeno disuelto se mantuvo entre 8.5 y 9 mg/L.Lo anteriorevidenció que el agua, en las sedes mencionadas, es apta para el consumo humano. Sin embargo, se hace necesario tomar medidas preventivas para el uso adecuado de los espacios físicos en lavamanos y grifos destinados al acceso directo del agua de consumo.
Este trabajo buscó generar una Conciencia Ambiental que mejorara las relaciones de los integrantes de la comunidad con su entorno, propiciando actitudes de responsabilidad, respeto y conservación del ambiente. Para ello, se propuso el estudio y cría de mariposas como estrategia en la Educación Ambiental de la escuela. Se utilizó la metodología de trabajo denominada cartografía social para identificar la forma en que los estudiantes se apropiaban de su entorno y se relacionaban con las mariposas. Durante el desarrollo de este estudio se logró poner en marcha procesos organizativos generando una dinámica de trabajo que posibilitó la sensibilización y constante participación de los diferentes actores que conforman la comunidad. Se realizaron salidas de campo las cuales fueron utilizadas como escenarios de aprendizaje donde se realizaron procesos de análisis y reflexión permitiendo a los niños, niñas y docentes reconocerse como actores principales, responsables de la transformación de su entorno, involucrando una mirada sistémica (cultural, social, política y económica).
