The study was carried out on 30 healthy people ranging between 20 and 30 years of age. Fifteen used a dentifrice without triclosan, and the other fifteen a dentifrice containing triclosan. After 3 weeks the toothbrushes were microbiologically processed. The results of this study demonstrated that the dentifrice with triclosan has greater effect against toothbrush biofilm than the dentifrice without triclosan.
