The essence of pulse amplitude modulation (PAM) pixel circuit for OLED is voltage driven current which is widely used in market. For micro LED, due to the color shift with the current, PAM pixel circuit is no longer suitable. However, the pulse width modulation (PWM) is voltage driven duty ratio where the current is fixed and can solve the color shift problem. Thus, a new PWM pixel circuit with CMOS LTPS TFTs for micro‐LED display has been developed in this paper. In addition, the developed PWM circuit can also reduce the power consumption and realize the drive circuit of 60Hz, and LED lighting of 120Hz respectively.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
