People with stoma can meet sexual problems. However, nurses experience some difficulties while handling sexual problems. It is thought that an intervention plan prepared within the framework of the PLISSIT model will guide nurses in solving sexual problems of individuals with stoma and providing integrated care and help individuals to express their sexual problems.
Purpose: To determine the effect of solution-focused approaches on adolescents' coping skills with peer bullying.Design and methods: A quasiexperimental design was used. The sample consisted of 68 adolescents. Using solution-focused approaches group were held with the intervention cohort. These were six sessions focused on improving participants' ability to cope with bullying. The data on the impact of the solution-focused approaches were collected using the Personal Information Form and the Adolescent Peer Relationship Instrument (APRI).Results: After the solution-focused approaches, the scores on components of the APRI (bullying and victimization) were significantly lower in the intervention group (p < .05).

Kendi uzmanlık alanları ne olursa olsun hemşirelerin afet yönetimini bilmesi ve afetlerin tüm evrelerinde görev almaları sağlanmalıdır. Afet hemşiresinin kendisinden beklenen nitelikler doğrultusunda hizmet verebilmesi için rol ve sorumlulukları, eğitimi, hizmet kapsamı ve afet hemşireliği alanındaki araştırmalar gibi birçok konunun ele alınması gerekmektedir. Bu gereksinim ülkemizde de afet hemşireliğinin görünür kılınmasının, afet hemşiresinin çağdaş rol ve fonksiyonlarına uygun olarak görev tanımlarının yapılması, çalışma alanı bulması ve eğitim alt yapısının oluşturulması için önemli bir gereklilik olarak değerlendirilebilir. Bu çalışmada bu gereksinimden yola çıkarak afetlerde toplum sağlığının korunmasında önemli bir kavram olan afet hemşireliği konusu ele alınmış, mevcut durum değerlendirilerek, öneriler geliştirilmiştir.
