ÖZAmaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı 0-3 yaş grubu çocuğa sahip annelerin bebeklerine ninni söylemeye yönelik görüş ve uygulamalarını belirlemektir. Yöntemler: Araştırma Konya ili Selçuklu ilçesine bağlı bir aile sağlığı merkezine kayıtlı 0-3 yaş çocuğu olan annelerde gerçekleştirildi. Toplam 145 anne araştırma kapsamına alındı. Veriler araştırmacılar tarafından hazırlanan anket formu ile toplandı. Araştırma öncesinde etik izin, kurum izni ve annelerin sözlü onamları alındı. Araştırmadan elde edilen veriler bilgisayar ortamında sayı ve yüzde dağılımından yararlanılarak değerlendirildi. Bulgular: Araştırmaya katılan annelerin yaş ortalaması 29,6±6,0 yıl idi. Annelerin %88,3'ü ninni söylediğini belirtirken, tamamı ninni söylemenin olumlu etkileri olduğunu düşünmekte idi. Annelerin çoğunluğu ninnilerin çocuğun ruh sağlığını olumlu yönde etkilediğini (%86,9) ve erken konuşmasında etkili olduğunu (%83,4) belirtti. Ninnilerin yararları konusunda annelerin en az bildikleri konu ise beslenme üzerine etkileri (%16,6) idi. Çocukların uykuya hazırlanması sırasında yaptıkları işlemler sorulduğunda annelerin yalnızca %66,2'si ninni söylediklerini belirtti. Sonuç: Annelerin çoğunluğunun ninnilerin önemi ile ilgili yüksek oranda bilgiye sahip oldukları, ancak uygulama oranlarının düşük düzeyde olduğu belirlendi.Anahtar kelimeler: Ninni, çocuk, anne, ruh sağlığı, dil gelişimi, kültür ABSTRACT Objective: The aim of this study is to determine the ideas and practices of the mothers with a child aged 0-3 related to singing lullabies. Methods: This study was done with mothers of infants aged 0-3 years registered in a family health center in Selçuklu district of Konya province. A total of 145 mothers were included in the study interviewed. Data were collected by questionnaire forms prepared by the researchers. Before starting the study, approval of ethics committee, and verbal consent of the mothers were obtained. Data was evaluated in a computerized system using number and percentage distributions. Results: The mean age of the mothers who participated in the study was 29.6±6.0 years. While 88.3% of the mothers were singing lullaby, all of the mothers were thinking that singing lullabies had positive effects. The majority of the mothers said that lullabies positively effected the mental health of children (86.9%) and they started to talk prematurely (83.4%). The beneficial effects of lullabies on nutrition was the least known effects by mothers (16.6%). When asked about the activities they did while they were preparing their children to sleep 66.2 % of the mothers said that they only sang lullabies. Conclusions: Although mother knew the importance of lullabies, they were moderate in the application.
