O ossículo meniscal é considerado uma condição rara e a sua etiologia é bem controversa, podendo pode ser encontrado no corno posterior do menisco medial perto da inserção tibial. Clinicamente, pode estar associada à dor e à sensação de bloqueio no joelho ou ainda ser assintomático. Ao abordar o assunto de forma clínica, o ossículo pode causar dor e sensação de bloqueio aos pacientes, mas também é descrito como assintomático e incidental durante a artroscopia. Se as radiografias simples em adultos revelarem a presença de uma estrutura óssea dentro da articulação do joelho, a ressonância magnética (RM) pode ser usada para diferenciar entre um ossículo meniscal e um corpo livre. A visualização direta durante a artroscopia continua sendo o padrão ouro para diferenciar as diferentes entidades. Nosso objetivo é relatar um caso de ossículo meniscal duplo diagnosticado pela RM.
