This paper presents an analysis of the resonant characteristics of a composite medium based on a periodic array of interspaced conducting nonmagnetic split ring resonators (SRR) and continuous thin wires (TW). The medium exhibits simultaneously negative values of effective permeability (μ μ eff ) and permittivity (ε eff ) within a microwave frequency band, characterizing a metamaterial. An analysis using Artificial Neural Networks (ANN) is built to obtain the permeability and permittivity as a function of resonant frequencies for a given geometrical dimensions of the metamaterial, for an optimization of the development medium.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
