El objetivo fue establecer las propiedades psicométricas del instrumento AF-5, mediante técnicas de análisis confirmatorio en el estudiantado normalista. Participaron 232 estudiantes matriculados a una institución formadora de docentes del Sur del Esta-do de Sonora, cuyas edades oscilan entre los 17 y los 43 años, 54.7% del sexo femenino (M=20.3, DE=1.8 años) y 45.3% del masculino (M=20.4, DE=2.2 años). A partir de los análisis efectuados se confirma que la Escala es adecuada para medir el autoconcepto multidimensional mediante los factores académico (α=.76), social (α=.71), emocional (α=.86), físico (α=.72) y familiar (α=.49)[X2= 665.725, p<.000; CFI= .90; TLI= .88; RMSEA= .05; SRMR= .07]. Todos los factores presentaron varianzas latentes y cargas factoriales altas y significativas. Se mantiene la estructura pentadimensional con una consistencia total de α= .84. Los resultados confirman la robustez de la solución factorial y la validez del instrumento en la evaluación del autoconcepto multidimensional en el estudiantado normalista.
