Crop diversity is central to traditional risk management practices on the Andean Altiplano and may find renewed importance in adapting to climate change. This study explored the role of crop diversity in farmers' adaptation actions in eight Aymara communities on the northern Bolivian Altiplano. Using a combination of quantitative and qualitative methods, including multifactor analysis and a community resilience selfassessment, we investigated how farmers' use of diversity in adaptation is related to their perceptions of crop and variety tolerances and other environmental, social, and economic factors. Few crops and varieties were perceived as tolerant to increasingly intense and unpredictable drought, frost, hail, and pest and disease outbreaks. Some local crops and varieties were perceived as vulnerable to emerging conditions (e.g. oca, papalisa, isaño), whereas bitter potatoes and wild relatives of quinoa and cañahua were perceived as highly stress tolerant and provide food in harsh periods. A total 19% of households surveyed (N = 193) had introduced new crops or varieties-often disease resistant or early maturing-as an adaptive action. Introduction of commercial crops was a common adaptation action, reflecting farmers' response to warming temperatures and changing economic opportunities, but greater sensitivity of the introduced crops may cause maladaptation. Despite intensification of cropping systems, households continue to maintain a median four potato varieties with different tolerance traits, yet this risk management practice was not perceived as adaptation. Strengthening resilience will require a combination of actions, including maintaining and expanding crop portfolios and restoring soil and ecosystem health, using both traditional and innovative approaches.

Palabras clave: concurso de televisión; vocabulario inglés; aprendizaje de inglés; juego y simulación; técnica didáctica; gamificarAbstract This paper presents and discusses the application of a Didactic Technique Using Games and Simulations of Television competitions to facilitate the teaching and learning of English, simulating the quiz show and gamifying the learning. The objective to achieve significant learnings in Spanish-speaking high school students to increase their English vocabulary. The research methodology was based on testing students before and after using games and simulations of television competitions in the class, in ten continuous learning sessions. Students had a high level of motivation to learn with information, communication, constant entertainment in class, with a great deal of activities, teamwork learning, constant interaction, which is different to traditional methods. The final result showed that the student's ability to learn English vocabulary improved significantly. Students scored 11.1% on average during the pre-test and achieved 99.1% in the average after learning through games and simulations of television contests.
Palabras clave: exposición acústica, J-Bessel, mapa vertical, festejos populares aBstraCt Cultural activities are part of the ethical identity in various regions of the world and in some places, generate noise pollution. The purpose of the case study was to determine the spatial modeling of the decibel in thematic maps by means of the Kriging equations at the stops, veneration of the Virgen de la Candelaria in Puno and the carnival of Juliaca. The measurements were made using the road method and the grid. 56 sampling points were established, in addition, four indicators where the averages for the city of Puno were the following: Lmin-74.72 ± 4.42 dB (A); Lmax-108.16 ± 6.18 dB (A); LApk-125.32 ± 9.36 dB (A) and LAeq-93.668 ± 5.29 dB (A) while, in the city of Juliaca were: Lmin-72.14 ± 4.56 dB (A); Lmax-104.83 ± 7.57 dB (A); LApk-122.48 ± 10.37 dB (A) and LAeq-90.443 ± 6.420 dB (A) where when comparing the indicators between the cities, there were statistically significant differences (p <0.05) according to the t-Student test. The maps adjusted to the J-Bessel model showed graphical coherence (p <0.05) for the LAeq of Puno and Juliaca. Prolonged exposure to cultural activities in the region were high where restriction is required during the hours of exposure.
