Covers an extensive effort to develop sampling techniques, analytical methodologies, and testing protocols for the rapid in-plant assessment of ionic contaminant concentration levels on the surface of production pipe. The project was sponsored by the PRC and includes the procedure and rationale for establishing threshold limit value for fusion-bonded epoxy (FBE) coatings applied over representative steel surface contaminants. Sampling instructions are provided in an attached 110-page test kit manual for field sampling and analysis.
