The paper presents the results of the MONITOR BT project with special focus into faults detection and their location in the low voltage (LV) grid and in public lighting feeders. The fault detection and location algorithms run in the Distribution Transformer Controller (DTC) deployed in secondary substation who receive data from monitoring sensors deployed along the LV grid that communicate via RF-mesh. The pilot demonstration of the system was implemented over a selected LV network in Portugal generating results that are also discussed in the paper.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
